Chapter 10: Drinking the green potion

3rd person POV

"I've got it!" Henry says excitedly, then returns to Edward with two different chemicals in his hands. One of a light red and another of a blue.

"That blue is what I added." Edward says, and Henry nods. 

"Now, I'm going to add these two, please stand back, and in case something happens, I want you to leave the room."

"Okay." Edward says reluctantly. 

Henry breathes, then adds both chemicals at the same time, the potion looks like it tries to fume, but because of the other chemical it can't, so it stays as a drinking substance. The color changes into a green, Henry describes it as the same color green he saw in my blood. As I stare at the potion, I find that I can't take my eyes off it, something is drawing me to it.

"Alright, the potion is figured. I'm thinking though, perhaps you should drink it, and it could strengthen or widen your abilities. Would you like that Edward?" Henry asks. But he gets no response. Henry looks to Edward to see his eyes linked to the potion, as if they can't be drawn away. Henry walks in front of Edward. "Edward? Are you alright?"

"Um.. yes, yes Henry I am, I'm sorry. I couldn't take my eyes off of it. I felt drawn to it." Edward replies.

"I saw that. Let's leave it alone for tonight. I want to take every consideration before having you drink it."

"I understand. But if I drink it then I want you to have at least a little bit so we can share in the benefits."

"That's sweet Edward, I'll think about it. But for now, let's get some sleep." Henry says, he then takes Edward to bed for the night.

Once Henry gets to his own room, he begins to think of the benefits or other with the potion. Soon, he begins to think about their future together. Though if something were to happen, then they'd be searched for. They need a disguise of some kind. Though, Henry doesn't know exactly what to do about that. Thinking about possible solutions, Henry remembers when he accidentally made a fume that changed one of his colleagues hair color. Henry chuckles a little at thought, and tries to remember what chemicals he mixed together for that to work. The more Henry remembers the formula, the more the question comes to mind: Would I be able to change our appearance completely?

Henry stands and walks out to his lab, he then grabs multiple chemicals and compounds off the shelf and mixes them, testing them, purifying some of them.

The next morning, Edward wakes up. He lazily walks around the house looking for Henry, but when he can't find him, Edward walks out to the lab and opens the door, finding Henry at his desk with two different flasks, one is a dark red, and the other is a blue. Henry takes some salt and adds it to the blue one, making it red like the other. Once Henry puts the salt down, Edward asks him. 
"What are you up to?" 

Henry turns around swiftly, to see Edward, but Edward clearly can see the smalls bags under Henry's eyes. "Oh, hello Edward! I've discovered a way to help us other than just the advantages."

"Henry, how long have you been up?"

"Not very long! Only since.. since..... OH! since about five minutes after I left your room! I was thinking for a few minutes, then decided to come out and work so I did! I got plenty of sleep!"

"Henry.. you look exhausted.. you didn't get any sleep last night.."

"I'm fine! Look what I made for us! It should completely change our identities!"

"Okay?... Henry let's get some rest for you."

"But I don't need rest! I'm fine! Here, drink your potion I made the other day!" Henry hands Edward the green potion. 

"Henry we have to-..." Edward looks down at it, feeling the strong temptation to drink it. He tries to look at Henry, but he can't.

"Look at how it sparkles and shines. Calling your name to it. You want it so terribly, I can feel it."

Edward, feeling the enticing lure of the potion, he slowly lifts it to his lips, and drinks most of it, then handing the rest to Henry, which is about 1/4 of it. "Drink it, I want you to have some too." Edward says, and Henry takes it and drinks the rest. After Henry drinks it, they both give each other a light smile, before Edward's becomes a look of shock.

"Edward are you okay?" Henry asks. 

Edward groans a little, then suddenly falls to the floor looking as if he was having a seizure and yelling while holding his head.

"Edward!!! Oh gosh no I'm so so-a-agh.. oh no.. o-oh gosh n-no!!!" Henry yells. He doesn't feel the pain that Edward feels, but he's feeling some of it. Both are lying next to each other on the floor now, either screaming or groaning in the shocks of pain that they have. Henry tries to get something that will stop this pain, but he can't get very far before it's too unbearable to move. 

After about 20 minutes, Henry is groaning from after-pain, but he notices Edward has passed out. Henry crawls over the best he can, and holds Edward, then picks him up with as much strength as he can gather. Henry carries Edward through the house and to his room with all the strength he has left. Once he gets to the bed, he manages to lie Edward down into it, but passes out before he can get himself into the bed, and collapses onto the floor..
