"Your history teacher has just called," Her mother said quietly. Too quietly. "Do you have anything you want to tell me about?"

"Umm...I skipped class on Fri-" Amelia winced as she was interrupted by her mother's roar.

"WHY DO YOU DO THESE THINGS? DO YOU WANT TO ADD TO EVERYTHING ELSE?" her mother screamed. "WE'RE IN A BAD ENOUGH SITUATION WITH ALL THE FINANCIAL PROBLEMS AND YOUR SISTER GOING OFF AND DYING LIKE A SELFISH PIG," her mother shouted at her. Tears spilled over her face.

Amelia sealed her mouth and just stared at the floor.

"GO! JUST GO! her mother pointed up the stairs and turned away, crying furiously.

Amelia ran up the stairs as fast as she could. Opening the door, she threw all the bags of clothing halfway across the room.

Was it all her fault? Did she deserve this?

It was her fault. All her fault. Everything was her fault; Sara dying, all their money problems, her miserable life at school, her mother erupting...

Amelia sank down onto her bed and grabbed her pillow, smoldering her face into it.

All her fault...It echoed, haunting her.

No... She raised her head.

It wasn't her fault. She never asked for Sara to die, or for their family to be in a tight financial situation  or to be bullied so badly that she wanted to skip class.

Amelia breathed in. She would do the one thing she wanted most now : to put a smile on those orphans' faces. And she would be in so much trouble at the end of it all.

Funnily, she didn't care.

A week ago, if she had been asked to take her dead sister's place at an orphan's concert and skip about two weeks of of her classes in order to be present at her sister's, she would have been worried about her mother disowning her for it.  But now, after everything that happened...she just didn't feel like she cared anymore.

The next few days passed like a blur. Amelia submitted the letter than Sophia had forged to the school office. Both Sophia and Amelia spread the word that she was going to change schools and now Amelia was now pretending to be her sister at school.

"Hey, wait up Amelia!" a voice yelled out.

Amelia turned, quickly stuffing her lunchbox into her bag, only to find Sophia panting behind her.

"Hey." Amelia looked at the blonde and smiled.

"I was wondering if you would like to hang out with our group from now on? ...Because if you're Sara, it will be weird if you kept hanging out at the library," Sophia blushed.

Amelia was shocked. "You-You want me to hang out with you?!"

"Umm...If you don't want to, it's fine," Sophia looked nervous.

"I would love to!" Amelia laughed. "It's just...I'm not used to having people letting me sit with them."

Sophia quietly nodded. Amelia could tell that the girl felt sorry for her.
