Hey!
Okay…I can hardly believe it, this is the last chapter! I wrote this book in just a little bit over a month, which is like…literally impossible for me. But I did it, which is amazing. I would just like to thank my friend @TanviDwLuvslife. If it wasn’t for her constant nagging for uploads, I probably would have never finished this.
I stayed up till 1:16 am yesterday and woke up at 6:45 am today, just to get the majority of this chapter done, which isn’t very smart as I have a Science yearly today and I didn’t study because I was busy writing this. >.<
Once again, I apolygise for the dreadful romantic scenes.
Well, enjoy the last chapter of Overshadowed and remember to vote and comment! :D

Amelia walked quietly down the stairs. Her mother had avoided her ever since their conversation at the front of the house. Amelia knew she had hurt her mother. After all the stress her mother had been through lately, she could not help but feel sorry for her.
"It must be really tough been a mother," Amelia sighed. But then again it was also hard to be a perfect daughter. Only too recently had she learnt that doing what she wanted to do was hardly the way to go.
Amelia stepped into the kitchen and sat down on a chair. She avoided looking at her mother, who was busy cleaning up pots and pans. Amelia knew that if she did, she wouldn't be able to handle the smothering guilt.
"What are we having today?" Amelia asked blankly, looking down at her plate.
"Rice with cauliflower and peas. Do you want some tomato soup too? her mother answered. Her tone sounded normal, but there was something missing.
"Umm...yep, sure," Amelia sneaked a quick glance up at her mother. She looked really tired and depressed, with bags under her eyes and her forehead having more wrinkles than a few nights ago.

Slumping down onto her chair, Amelia covered her face with her pillow.
Dinner had been an calm but unsettled event. Amelia bit her lip as she realised that her relationship with her mother would never be the same again.
She let her eyes wonder over to her window, where it was already dark enough to see the faint outlines of the trees in the distance. It had only been a day ago when she had seen Zander drive off to Sophia's.
Amelia had kept pushing matter of the note to the back of her head when it came up, until she eventually forgot about it. There was no possible chance that he would like her at all, but a little voice inside her brain kept trying to yell out 'Maybe'. Maybe. Those five letters held an very important answer.
She realised she missed him. Badly. But why had she been thinking so much about him over the past two days?
Amelia stood up and walked over to her bed. His jumper lay there crumpled and forgotten. She picked it up and folded it. It still had his scent, cedar and almonds.
She grabbed her laptop and checked her messages. None of her friends were online though, but Amanda had left her a message.
Amanda Lawson: I've talked with everyone on the phone again. We've got a plan. Don't sleep in tomorrow!. ;P Love you, Amanda
'Plan? Why doesn't she just tell me the plan here, rather then leaving me wondering for an night?' Amelia thought, annoyed. But if the others had come up with a plan that allowed her to perform, she would be more than happy to be left wondering for one night.
