I woke up wide eyed, heart pounding, and disoriented. It takes a minute before i realize that I'm in my bed in my house, not in a cave and that I'm safe. My cami is drenched with sweat, and the breeze coming from my fan is making me shiver, not to mention I'm feeling a tad bit disgusted. I get up and walk over too the bathroom that's adjourning with my room. Deciding that a bath would be the best thing to sooth my muscles and my nerves, i put the stopper in the tub and fill the it with hot water. i strip down and slowly slide into the water allowing my body enough time to adjust to the temperature, letting out a sigh in relief once my whole body is submerged.
I'm running, my hair whipping around my face making it hard to see. My legs are burning along with my lungs, the stings on my arms face and legs from the sharp grass and leaves are never ending. My lips are becoming dry and brittle along with my throat from the cold air. The path in running takes a turn for the worst when it goes from tangled mess of a forest to cliff in about 5 seconds. I stop just on the edge fighting for balance unsure which decision will promise me life. The sound of the dogs and hunters rifles makes the decision for me. I make a quick prayer to whoever is a higher power that will listen to my plee, and jump. I'm falling fifty-one miles to my uncertian death. I take this time to relax, i know whats going to happen, i might as well enjoy the ride. As i fall all i can hear is the air whooshing in my ears. I sigh in ease the adrenaline is still rushing through my veins. And then i hit a concrete wall, everything goes dark as the sound of water swallowing it's prey surrounds me.
I wake up coughing for air , the sound of the water moving around me makes me a little lightheaded. I must of fell asleep when i got relaxed. My throat is burning like crazy, and i can barely breathe, and all of a sudden the tub seems extremely small. I jumped out of the bathtub, and ran back into my room,I leaned on the dresser, clutching my chest, trying to catch my breath. A cold breeze washed over my body making me shake violently. In that moment i realize that im standing in the middle of my room butt-naked shaking, freaking out, and my hair is probably turning into ice. The real makings of a crazy person. With a sigh i walk over to the top shelf in my closet and pulled down a fresh towel, and begin to dry myself off. After my body is dry i pull on a pair of boy briefs and a cami, and begin to towel dry my hair. Walking around my room while attempting to ring out my soaked hair i finally steal a glance at the clock. Only 4:34 am, dammit. I groan as i plop down on the bed, holding my face in my hands, my hair wrapped up in the towel having given up on drying it a long time ago, and fell asleep.
P.s. I have a picture of Calla (the main character) on the side
