"You... you don't love your brother"
An accusing finger points to the head of the business.

Simon stares at him selflessly from his leather armchair.

"Can you be more dramatic?"

"Always can. But I see that shit doesn't work for you."

"You're finally saying something right"

"Oh, shut up! I never ask you for anything, why can't you do something for me?"

"And there you go again..." mumbles Simon, putting his hands behind his head and closing his eyes.

"It's the party of our most important ally Simon. It would be a joke not to attend and who knows? It could affect our bond with them."

"You're exaggerating. Just tell them I couldn't go and that's it."

"Hell yes! I'm going to say something like 'Mr. Cowell? Oh he couldn't come, he preferred to stay at home giving himself love'"

"Nick"

"What? Does truth annoy you?"

"What do you mind so much?"

Nick sighs "I don't know... it's just... I just want you to go out a little and have some fun. Before you weren't like that, if you knew about a party you'd sign up right away, and now you're not even going to our friends' parties... I'm worried about you Si".

"No."
Simon moves his hand, diminishing its importance.

His brother doesn't take his eyes off him.

"You know I won't stop until you agree to go. You know I'm not kidding."

"Well, in that case, how about we get comfortable, huh?" he lies on the couch in the room.

Nicholas smiled sideways, sat in Simon's chair and crossed his leg.

"Sounds good to me."

Simon gets out of the elegant cart, in front of the equally elegant place that at the time was full of people in good brand suits and bright designer dresses.

He helped the woman who accompanied him and once ready, she hooks her arm to his.

"Let's go!"

'I hate you, Nicholas. I hate you so much'.
Simon thinks as he enters the area, nodding to the first faces he recognized.

It wasn't hard to find his brother.
He was in a small group, smirking charmingly and a thin glass in his hand. As he got closer, he realized that the people talking to him were the hosts of the party.

Nicholas discerns Simon and his stupid smile got bigger.

"Look who's here!"
Everyone turned to see the just arrived couple "I knew we could come to an agreement..." he whispers this only to Simon, winking playfully at him.

"Go to hell" he whispers as well.

"Mr. Cowell! Long-time no see!" the older guy hugs him "almost didn't recognize you".

"Yes, he's old already" Nick dares to say.
So early and alcohol had already relaxed his reason.

One of the hosts laughs, "I wouldn't say old"

Simon congratulated them, they thanked him and the conversation revolved around their jobs, business, and agreements. The older leader of the Cowell company was definitely not in the mood, so the conversation was starting to tire him out. Fortunately, other people came and had to stop.
