And some music:
-NO! STOP! I DON'T WANT THIS!
Domino's shouting woke the whole penthouse. Tony was the first one to reach her. She had jumped to sit on her bed still asleep and waving her hands around accidentally slapping herself awake, looking into the wall and starting to sob.
-Shh... calm down. It's okay. It's okay.
Tony said and took her into his arms. He rocked her a little. Even though Domino acted somewhat like an adult she was still an 13 year old girl by heart. And with her limited memories, emotionally maybe currently even younger.
- You just had a nightmare. It wasn't real.
Stephen came to stand next to them and made a gesture to cast a spell to calm Domino and to see what made her so upset. What he saw made him question her past.
-It wasn't just a dream. It has happened. I remember. I was brought up in a city that was ruled by my grandfather who led it with the League of Assassins. I had a twon brother. We weren't brought up together though. We were brought up as weapons. I remember hating it. I didn't want to learn any of it. But I had no choice. I had to conceal all the emotions. I- I have to conceal them?
Domino started rumbling. Stephen could read from her mind how upsetting her life had been. She wasn't a bad person. She was a girl who was brought up without love.
- Do you remember anything else?
Domino shook her head.
- No. Just that there is something else to it. I haven't lived all my life in that league.
The Justice league, Tony thought. He was sure that these two leagues weren't the same thing.
- It is okay. Go back to sleep.
Tony didn't leave Domino before she fell asleep. He left the room as quietly as he could. Returning to his room next to Stephen.
- Did she fall asleep?
Stephen asked.
-Yes. Stiff as a stick but asleep.
Tony said he turned to look at Stephen. His husband was reading some book from the Sanctum. The cover was made of leather and had a magic circle with and eye in the middle.
-Her dream. Do you think it actually happened in her past?
Tony asked. Stephen closed his book an looked at Tony.
- Yes. I saw it. The dream was so vivid it couldn't be her imagination and the memories it raised to surface. First I thought I wouldn't say anything but I better say it anyway. She is not from this world. Similar world but not from this world.
Tony went silent.
- This doesn't mean she can't stay with us. I can't seem to find the world she is from. It probably is out of my reach or somehow in betwean. What we should do now is try to assure her a normal teenage girl's life with us. Atleast until- Well it doesn't really matter.
Stephen continued, calming Tony down. He looked into his husband's eyes. He saw that helping Domino was something he needed after shearing her feelings when she was unconscious. He kissed Tony good night and they fell asleep.
