Next morning after we had had breakfast and Happy had driven us to school, Peter and I stood in front of the quite ugly school building. I felt weird. It was like nothing I had ever felt before.

- Don't be nervous Doe. I'll show you around and make sure you make some friends, okay?

Peter said his hand on my shoulder. He was a good older brother. Even though he only had been my brother for few weeks.

-Well would be easier to make friends if I wasn't at least two years younger than anyone else.

Peter just shrugged and said that if no one else wanted to be friends with me I could be with him and his friends.

- Ned has been looking forward to meeting you after I told him about my new sister.

So we entered the building and were greeted by a loud noise from every direction. The noise makes it a little hard for both of us since we both haw sharper senses than most. I felt so over whelmed that I had to cover my ears when we walked to meet the principal.

-Here are your papers for the school. Also your timetable and homeroom number is there. Any questions?

The principal asked handing me a small stack of papers.

-No sir. Thank you.

I said and left the office. The schools floor plan was pretty simple so getting around was easy. First day was almost completely homeroom so I would find out how my class was soon enough.

So, after I found my homeroom I knocked the door and waited. The door was opened by a middle aged man who looked at me and then said:

-Sorry little girl this is a high school second year class. Middle school is few blocks away.

He was going to close the door but then stopped to think for a second. He then asked my name and after giving my name to him he let me in.

-Everyone this is Domino Stark-Strange she will join our class starting today. You can sit in the free seat in the back.

He said turning to me. I walked to sit in the free corner seat and listened to the things that were gone through the first day. Boring.

When the lunch came around I went to the cafeteria and hoped I'd find Peter there. I scanned the noisy students around me and tried to meet his friendly face. After a little searching I found him sitting in a corner table with a boy and they were having what seemed like a very interesting conversation.

I walked to them as soon as I was sure no one was looking at me. I didn't want to draw any attention that was given to me to them. It was a drag.

- Hi Peter. Can I sit with you?

Peter lifted his eyes from what seemed to be some sort of a meatloaf and looked at me.

- Of course you can. This is Ned whom I already told you about. He was excited to meet you.

- Hi Domino. Nice to finally meet you. Peter has told me a lot about you. He almost never shuts up.

Ned said smilingly.

- Nice to meet you Ned. Peter has told me a lot about you too.

I answered as I sat down. I didn't smile since it still didn't come to me naturally but tried to show otherwise that it truly was pleasant to meet him. He seemed to get it since he kept smiling at me like the sun he was.

The rest of the day was regular classes. I had English, math and chemistry. Math class was fun because I had that with Peter. We sat together and made the teacher mad  by talking about the theory of time travel in math. I argued that the formula had a fault in it and it would have to be redone to fix it. The teacher didn't seem too happy that we were talking about something else than what he was teaching and almost threw us out the classroom.

After classes ended we walked back home where dad waited for us to go to meet papa in the Sanctum to eat together in a nice restaurant as celebration for the new school year.
