For the first time in a long while, it was a lovely sunny day.
Clementine and Louis soaked it up whilst they could, it had been too long. Not much had happened at Ericson over the past few months, shockingly. Clementine had been on edge, convinced something angsty was about to happen, whereas Louis greatly appreciated that whatever deity existed had taken a break from making them suffer.
POOF!
Ah fuck.
Clementine and Louis both turned to the front gate, their jaws falling open at the sight. A young girl, no older than the both of them, was suddenly standing within the school walls. Her clothes showed no signs of blood, no dirt or scratches. Where had she come from?
"Hey!" Clem shouted. "Who are you?"
The young girl immediately looked up, her face beaming. "It's been too long!" She squealed, rushing over to the two. "I'm so sorry for leaving you two in the dark for so long!"
Louis slowly inched closer to Clementine. "Have we met before?"
The girl threw herself onto the seat across from them, her feet jittering. "Well-no. Not technically. Let me explain the best I can," She whipped out a pen and notepad from her jacket pocket. "I'm what you would call 'the author' and all the crazy stuff that's been happening to you two...that's cause of me!"
Louis and Clem both just sat in awkward silence, letting this strange girl ramble on.
"I get it! It's a lot, and I'm sorry for making you suffer through some angsty writing, but it was fun. I'm Scully, it's nice to meet ya!"
For some reason, Clementine had no weapons around her. At all. Not even her gun! "So...you've been making this crazy shit happen to us?"
"Like Clem and I getting into a car accident?"
"Yup!"
"And me giving her a bracelet for Valentine's day?"
"Yuh-huh."
"And her getting preg-"
"Yes! Yes to all of it! That's why I'm the author! I write you two in either angsty or fluffy scenarios for fun! I do love it, truly," Scully chewed on the end of her pen with no shame whatsoever. Some habits die hard. "Watch this!" She quickly scribbled something onto the notepad, once her pen was off the page a small bowl of blueberries appeared on the table.
Louis carefully inspected one, he hadn't seen a blueberry in...well lord knows how long. "Did...did you just do that?"
"Yessir! I got the creative freedom to do whatever I want." She pinched a blueberry from the bowl and threw it into her mouth.
Clementine pondered over this. "Then how come nothing has happened to us in a while? Did something happen?"
Louis found himself agreeing with Clem rather quickly. "She's got a point, if you love writing so much, why haven't you written anything in ages?"
The author ponded over her answer, wondering how to put it. "I could give many reasons; job hunting, getting a job, actually having to work at the job - surprising I know - improving my mental state, procrastination due to unattainable perfectionism that was ingrained into my head as a child. So many different reasons, plus it was my birthday recently and I wanted a damn day off to do nothing.
"It's also hard. The way I see my writing, I like to have it flow like a movie. I bounce between different points of view, I describe settings, trying to give the best visuals I can. Almost like I have a camera and am shooting a film. It can be hard sometimes, trying to find the best way to write a setting or person the way I envision it in my head."
"I think I remember going to the movies, we saw Deadpool-"
Scully ignored Clem's commented with the wave of her small hand. "Wrong book darling. But yes, sometimes my brain is like 'if we can't do this right then we're not doing it at all'. It's very rude," She quickly flipped through some pages within the notepad, revealing to Clementine and Louis a page full of scribbles. "Don't worry though, I do have ideas for you two. One involving AJ and a birthday." Scully winked right as she got up from the table, just before she could walk back to the gate the ramblings of the two dorks sitting across from her got her attention.
"Wait-wait!" Louis tried to get his tongue working in time with his brain. "So...will we see you again?"
Scully glanced around at the school, a fond smile stretching out her chubby-ass fucking cheeks. "Possibly not. But I will be seeing more of you two soon, throwing you into crazy antics," She scribbled something else onto a new page, yet stopping right before she finished. "I must thank you both, for what you have done for me. Thanks to the writing, a whole new world has opened up to me. Au revoir my darlings." The author wrote down one final word before fading away with the breeze.
Clem glanced down at her hands, tracing over the faded cuts and scratches that had formed over many years of fighting. "Louis...what were we talking about?"
He scratched his head over the past 5 minutes, his memory but a blur. "I-uh...I can't remember."

I really just wanted an excuse to make fun of myself. I desperately wanted to write something, something ridiculous and then this happened. + It's my book I can do whatever I want. It's more cathartic for me, to explain things + I thought it could be fun. I've been doing a lot of reading over the past couple days to help inspire myself. Hopefully, it works.
:P
