Freddie sat in a lawn chair, chucking pebbles at a brick wall he'd found. Instead of coming back to him they'd just dissipate and appear next to him again. He'd been waiting for a friend from Earth for quite some time. Not that he wishes death upon any of his friends. He just wished that someone would come up to visit him. Everyone he's known who has died in the past few decades has gone off to do their own stuff. Brian Epstein and John Lennon had gotten there before him, and all they did was start making out as soon as they saw each other. George Harrison was reincarnated as a dog, as that was his faith.

That was how the afterlife worked. If your faith was separate from a Christian, Catholic, or Jewish faith, your fate was determined by your faith. If you had an atheist or Satanic faith on Earth, you lived as a ghost to haunt the living. Not even the worst of the worst people got sent to Hell, as it didn't exist. Instead there was Heaven Prison. It was like Hell, but the only torture was to see the good people roaming freely for the rest of eternity.

Freddie slumped back against his chair and mumbled to himself, "I wish someone would come up here. Maybe...maybe John, Roger, Brian...maybe Elton? I just need a friend."

He heard a pair of feet behind him. He ignored it, thinking it was Kurt Cobain or Keith Moon walking around. But then he felt a hand on his shoulder. A familiar hand. He stood and turned around, startled.

"How are you, Freddie?"

"Oh, Jim!" Standing there in front of him was Jim Hutton, Freddie's one true love. He began to cry. "D-Darling how did you get here, this area is for...for rock legends."

Jim wiped the tears from Freddie's face "Well then I know how you got here." He laughed softly. Freddie blushed at the comment. "No, well, I just told them who I was and they let me in," Jim continued.

"Oh, well, that's good. If you don't mind me asking, how did you...die?" Freddie inquired nervously.

Jim scratched the back of his neck. "It was lung cancer, I...I died of lung cancer."

Starting to tear up again, Freddie pounced at his husband, wrapping his arms around his neck and planting kisses on his cheeks. "Oh, my love, that must've been so painful."

"Nothing could've matched the pain of being without you for so long." Jim whispered back.

The two stood in each other's arms for several minutes before Freddie spoke up again, his voice muffled by Jim's shoulder, "How did you find me?"

"Well, strangely enough, uh, Elvis pointed me towards you in the middle of a conversation with Buddy Holly. This truly is a magical place, isn't it?"

Freddie pulled away, his eyes lit up like candles. "You've barely gotten here, you haven't yet experienced the potential."

With just the wave of a hand, the pair was in a simulation of a ballroom. The ceiling was easily a mile high. The room stayed completely empty, except for two men in love. Freddie was suddenly in a blue tux, Jim in a black one. Music was playing, though there was no speaker.

Freddie and Jim began to dance, Jim laughing every time the clumsier man tripped over his two left feet.

"You're a natural born singer, but you can't dance for shit," He joked quietly.

Freddie smiled. "I love you, too."

They shared a kiss that went on for far too long, and they danced as if no one was watching. Though, truly, no one was.

A few cracked jokes and loving glances later, both had gone to bed. Sleeping in the same bed as their mirage faded and the stars came out. Half asleep, Jim mumbled something that Freddie couldn't hear.

"What was that, darling?"

Jim rolled over. "I said, if I knew I could spend my days with you, I would've died a lot sooner."

And it was true. Jim was set on surviving as long as he could, but if years prior, he had known that he would be reunited with his one true love, he would've sacrificed the next 19 years on Earth. Now, him and Freddie were just that; reunited.

Freddie Mercury and Jim Hutton were brought together by fate, and they would stay together until the end of time.
