After we were at the hospital, we arrived to a very panicked household. Dad still wasn't home and it made everybody worry, but eventually he returned safe and sound.

Billy, Tyler, Max, Joyce and I were the first up the next morning. She also kindly decided to make us all breakfast.
"We have a bit of an issue." Joyce says.
Billy scoffs. "No shit." He says under his breath.
I slap his knee under the table and look at Joyce. "What's the matter?"
"We're going to run out of food eventually. And we're going to need to go to the stores before they're closed down."
I nod my head, already understanding to what she was getting at. "You want us to go."
She gives a small smile. "Yeah, if you don't mind."
"We'll go."

We all quickly got dressed, trying not to wake anybody. While I was walking to the bathroom, I ran into Tyler.
"Hey." He says to me.
"Hey." I respond.
"I feel like I've been saying this a lot, but this is crazy."
I smile. "It is. You don't have to come shopping with us if you don't want too."
He returns the smile. "It's all good."
My smile slowly fades. "There's a slight chance things might get messy out there."
"It's nothing I can't handle."
My smile returns. "Okay, big man."
He lets out a little chuckle and pauses. "We'll be okay."
"I hope so." I respond.

Eventually, everybody was all ready and we were getting ready to go.
"Okay, what do we need?" I ask from the passenger's seat.
"Joyce said to get canned food and water bottles." Tyler responds from the back seat.
I take out a pen and paper from the glovebox so I can begin to write a grocery list.
"Nancy said to get some first-aid things." Max pipes in. Nancy woke up just as we were walking out of the door, so she didn't get the chance to come with us.
"Okay. Canned food, water, and a first-aid kit." I say as I write down the things.
"A pack of cigarettes and a case of beer wouldn't hurt." Billy says from behind the wheel.
"Seriously?" Max asks, clearly annoyed. "It's the end of the world and you want cigarettes and beer?"
Billy nods his head. "Hell yeah."

We entered the grocery store which was not busy at all. The only people inside were the cashiers and a few people frantically shopping.
We walked down the first aisle and grabbed a bunch of canned food. The next aisle was where all of the drinks were located. Tyler grabbed two cases of water and Billy grabbed a case of beer.

We walked through the next few aisles but couldn't seem to find the first-aid kits.
"Excuse me." I say as I walk up to one of the workers.
She jumps at the sound of my voice and turns around quickly.
I give her a small smile. "Oh sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. We were just wondering if you know where the first-aid kits are?"
She studies our whole group, looking at each one of us up and down. "You kids have to get out of Hawkins."
I nod my head. "I don't think we're going to leave. But we're getting supplies just in case we have to leave."
She shakes her head. "It's not safe."
I nod my head. "Yeah, we know."
Once again, she shakes her head. "No you don't. My husband was taken by one of the monsters right in front of my own eyes. We have to evacuate Hawkins in the next few hours or we'll all be doomed."
"Oh, I'm sorry." I respond.
"Sorry for your loss, but where are your damn first-aid kits?" Billy says, obviously getting fed up by her story.
"It's on the sixth aisle." She responds, pointing in the direction of the aisle. "You guys are going to regret staying here." And with that, she turns and walks off.
"That was strange." Tyler says as we watch her walk down into a room for staff only.

After we got all of our supplies, we headed to the checkout station. We paid for all of the stuff we just bought and walked out of the store. We each carried a couple of heavy bags or a case of water.
"Can you walk any slower?" Billy complained to Max as she was walking way behind the group.
"Can you be anymore of an idiot?" Max responds.
Billy stops and turns to look at her. "Watch your mouth."
She rolls her eyes in response. "Whatever."
After a few moments of walking in silence, we were interrupted by the trees swaying.
"What was that?" Tyler asks worriedly.
"I don't know. Maybe a squirrel." I say trying to stay calm.
"Lets just hurry up and get out of here." Billy responds.
We all pick up the pace, but with our luck a Demogorgan crawls out from the trees.
"Are you shitting me?" I say under my breath.
"Oh my gosh." Tyler says as he drops the grocery bag.
The cans fall to the ground with a hard thud, causing the monster to look in our direction.
"Shit." Billy whispers.
"Sorry." Tyler says, panicking.
"What do we do?" Max asks.
"Slowly walk to the car. If the Demogorgan moves, we stop." I say.
They all nod their heads and we take our first step.
Nothing happened until we took our second step. As soon as we raised our foot, the Demogorgan crept closer. It didn't run at us at full speed, it just kind of teased us.
"Keep walking." Billy whispers.
We all obeyed and picked up the pace as we neared the car.
We were four parking spots away from Billy's camaro when the monster decided to attack.
Everybody started sprinting our fastest to try to get away from the Demogorgan who was slowly starting to close in on us.
Suddenly, Max tripped and her bag of groceries ripped.
"Get up!" Billy screamed, keeping his eyes on the monster and his sister.
She struggled to get up, obviously in pain. Max then began to pick up all of the cans that rolled out of her bag, not knowing how close the Demogorgon was behind her.
Billy stood and froze. "Run!" He screamed as the monster pounced on his sister.
Max finally stood up and turned around to see the Demogorgan in mid air. She screamed and turned her back, before I decided to run and jump in front of her.
