I quickly analyzed my surroundings: we had to either blow up this place or steal a vehicle, wing it, and escape, allowing us to be ahead of these scumbags who somehow continues to follow us? Man, being a superhero is frankly the weirdest thing ever when it comes to timeline...

I looked at the Soldier for any guidance or hints on how we should do this. His face was stone, his eyes hard on abound of about eight soldiers laughing, hands towards the fire the had made while the Soldier had discussed our opportunities. A military-armed jeep sat behind them. It was practically was begging for us to steal it.

My fingers itched for the steering wheel.

"When?" I whispered, trying to give us hiding place behind the thick brush.

His gaze studied the soldiers like a vulture, "After dusk."

I nodded, returning my gaze to our targets.

So this is what it's like being a spy? Mostly waiting around and shit? Cool...I guess...Boring though...

As the night began to drown the sun, I listened in on the soldier's conversation. Well, I mean-I listened to their tones of how they talked; I couldn't understand a thing of Russian they had said. I'm guessing they were joking around with their cheerful smiles at little responses and remarks.

Darkness was setting in, the eerie sounds of the night began to show their own littler responses and remarks.

I took a glance at the sky. As if an artist had painted it, it commenced of pastel oranges dotted with little stars. I wanted the HYDRA soldier to look at the sky and see the stunning sunset. Especially since they were never going to see another one like it or another one in general.

My nerves began to coil out into a nervous mess. My breathing fastened. "When?" I whispered again, softer this time, like a sharp inhale.

"When the last one drifts off."

I snapped my head back to the circle of soldiers. Sleep ate at their eyes.

I didn't want this to end violently, but no one would stay asleep through a vehicle heist and not call in that it's missing. I felt the gun rest peacefully in my hand. Blood would be spilled this night one way or another. I shivered at the heartbreaking thought.

"What's the exact plan?"

Silence was my only answer.

My sense became like a night creature's prowling in the night for the hunt as I peered through the twigs. I felt unusually alone. I listened in for breathing next to or around me.

Silence.

A gut-wrenching feeling sank to the bottom of my stomach. I stuck out my hand where I recalled the Soldier sitting. Cold, empty air welcomed my hand.

Great...

A rush of blood blasted in my ears.

I scanned my eyes over the soldiers. All asleep.

So, the Soldier doesn't believe in my wealth of skill? Showtime...

I ran a quick plan over in my head. It was messy and nonsense, but it would work with some luck.

What was the plan I had thought up you ask? Don't die and don't do anything overly reckless than usual.

I released my position in a crouch and began to circle around the soldiers in the brush.

My breath caught in my throat.

I reviewed my S.H.E.I.L.D. training over, mumbling to myself sightly, while I prayed I wouldn't step on a twig and break it, giving me away.
