"Wake up, please," a quiet, comforting force shook me slightly.
I opened my tired eyes and immediately shut them because bright light blinded me. I groan escaped my lips. I felt so disconnected with my body that I felt numb.
"Oh thank god," the voice exclaimed with joy.
"W-water," I managed to speak out.
"Sure," the stranger quickly responded.
I was slowly become more and more aware. My eyes were still shut tight, but I now feel sheets on top of me and an aching headache. My throat felt dry and my stomach felt empty.
I heard a door open and close again and a warm hand slid underneath my neck. It lifted me up and I felt the nice, cool water slid down my throat.
I got my voice back, "Can you close the shades or something?"
"Of course," I felt the bed shift and the slight rustle of the blinds moving.
I got the courage to open my eyes and the annoying light wasn't there anymore. Finally I could see what was around me. The walls were a dark, safe blue. The room had a nice rustic vibe to it and it obviously belonged to a guy considering in a corner, piles of clothes and boxers were piled up. Other than the scary mess in the corner, the rest of the bedroom was clean. I saw dust particles floating calmly from the tiny bit of light shining through the blinds.
I slowly turned my head to right, trying not to disturb my head too much, and was greeted to Henry. He had a glass of water in his hands , his hair was sexily disheveled, and bags were slightly forming under his ears. Even though he clearly didn't get enough sleep, he still look amazing.
For my own personal safety, I lifted the covers to make sure that I had clothes on. Indeed, I was dressed in a huge, warm black shirt and basketball shorts.
"You really think I would take advantage of you?" Henry asked dragged a chair next to his bed.
"You never know," I said, my voice low and raspy.
"Well, before you ask. You got insanely drunk last night and after fucking hours of looking for you, I found you in the bathroom floor with vomit in the toilet. I decided to take you to my place because I knew that I could take care of you and sorry that I did not bring you-"
"Please stop. It's fine-thank you Henry. Really," I interrupted him. The worry look on his face disappeared and a slight shimmer appeared in his eyes.
Awkward silence fell upon us and luckily my stomach grumbled loudly. I looked down with a pink tint forming on my cheeks.
Henry's warm laugh filled the room, "I'll bring you food."
He got up from his chair and left his room. Only a few minutes later, he was back with two plates of pancakes, orange juice and two light blue pills.
He plopped the warm plate in front of me and he sat down, opposite of me on his bed.
"So, is this like a date or something?" I teased him.
He tensed up and this time a pink tint formed upon his cheeks, "Pft, no."
Gently, I kicked his leg with my foot, "I'm teasing you Henry Watson."
With a piece of pancake in his mouth he said, "Ok Willow Grey, you have some sense of humor," he said smugly.
I rolled my eyes, "There's a lot of things you don't know about me."
