1: Royal Cotillion

"See, it was a woman. He fell in love..."

I put on a smile as i listen to the reporters asking me questions and the camera's flashing in my face. Why do they have to ask me question why not Mal or Ben, Why me? "Marilyn, please, over here! Marilyn!" a photographer said waving his hands my why looking over at him i put on a fake smile. "Only three days to the Royal Cotillion. Ever think a girl like you would be Lady of the Court?" a reporter said to Mal and i just glared at him and we looked the other way towards Mal and Ben, and Jay. "How does it feel to be the most envied guy in Auradon?" He asked Jay.

You can see in his eyes that he was getting mad. I elbowed Ben and he notices to "Okay. All right. Excuse me. Uh, we will let you know if and when that particular situation changes." Ben said nicely more nicely then what i would do. "Did you or Marilyn ever think you'd be with a Villain Kid?" the reported said pushing. "We're done here," i said getting mad as i stood in front of everyone.

"Okay. Shush, shush. Shoosh, shoosh. Shoosh, shoosh. This is still a school, so if you're here, you're either skipping or trespassing." Fairy Godmother said coming from behind me. "Just one quick question."

"Shush. Shush."

"Fairy Godmother!"

"Shhh. Shhh. Shhh." Fairy Godmother said as she shooed everyone away "Thank you, guys." I said waving at the reporters smiling "Marilyn. Jay. Mal. Ben." she said smiling at us about to walk away "Fairy Godmother." we said in sync as she bowed at us and walked away. "Whew." i heard Mal said and i nodded in agreement. "Don't pay any attention to them." i said wrapping my arms around Jay's waist "well, that's a lot easier said than done, right?" Jay replied wrapping his arm around me.

"I know. I know. You know, maybe we should do something. We should go somewhere. Getaway."

"Yeah."

"You know, what do-- I have a council meeting. Ben, we have a council meeting we're so late!" i said looking over at Ben he looked over at me and his eyes widening. "That's okay," Jay said removing his hands from around me. "If we don't do a fitting for your gown right this minute, you'll be dancing in your bathrobe, okay? Hi. Let's go. Let's go." Evie said to Mal as she pulled her away "Marilyn are you coming?" Evie called at me "No I'll see you guys after the council meeting" i yelled pulling up my dress and started running i stopped in my tracked turned around and ran back to Jay.

"Did you forget something?" he asked smiling at me "Yeah?" i said before pulling him into a quick kiss and turning around running away "see you later" i yelled to him as i caught up with Ben. "Ready?" Ben said smiling down at me i just rolled my eyes at him. "Shut up" i replied we walked into the council meeting room.

After the meeting i headed towards Evie and Mal's room "i am exhausted, first this royal business and then i have to keep up with my stores" i said plopping down on Evie's bed "better you than me" Mal said smiling at me. I saw Evie tightening Mal's dress "Oh! Okay, Evie, I cannot breathe." Mal said swaying back and forward. "Well, you can breathe after Cotillion." She said as she pushed Mal to stand up straight. "Well, I sincerely doubt that. We have at least 20 more events directly behind it, and I can't even remember what a single one of them is." I said looking up as i still lay flat on the bed. "Impeccable." Evil said looking at her work.

"Evie?" Mal called out to her. "Hmm?"

"Do you ever think about what we'd be doing if we were back on the Isle right now?"

"That's funny. Ah! Look who's on TV." Evie said and i turned my head towards the TV it was me, Jay, Mal, & Ben. "As the royals couple continues their tour of the kingdom, they dined with Aladdin and Jasmine. Six months ago..." the TV reporter said. "No one thought King Ben & Queen Marilyn and there significant other from the wrong side of the bridge would last." she continued. "Yeah. No kidding." Mal said.

"Mal and Jay must be counting the days until the Royal Cotillion... when he & she will officially become a Lady and Sir of the Court." I just rolled my eyes turning away from the TV and waving my hand soon the TV turned off. "Marilyn could you help," Mal said as she sat next to me holding up a book that i know for certain she didn't read. "Read it fast at lightning speed. Make her remember everything she needs," i said waving my hand in a circle as my eyes started glowing like fire and Mal started reading.

"I know Mal's secret to fit in, and Ben wouldn't like it one bit. Haven't you guys had enough secrets between the two of you already? And you and Jay as well Marilyn" Evie said sitting in between us. "Evie, you remember what I was like before I started using my spellbook and Marilyn started helping me, I'm so grateful for her. I mean, I was a complete disaster." Mal replied glancing up at Evie as she kept reading.

"Well, personally, as your best friend, I strongly believe that this spellbook and your cauldron belong in the museum, along with my mirror." Evie said and i just stared at her "Don't give me the face. Put the pout away.

 Mm-hmm. You know I'm right." she said crossing her arms and i turned my head the other way.

"You don't ever miss running wild and just breaking all the rules? I know Marilyn would love it there" Mal said smiling down at me. "Like stealing and lying and fighting? No Marilyn would not like it"

"Yeah!"

"No!"

"What?"

"Why would we? M, come here. Look at where we are. We're in Auradon! And we're Auradon girls now." I sat up looking over at Mal "See, this is the land of opportunity. We can be whatever we want to be here. So, please, let's just leave the past in the past, okay? Besides, I mean, look at the shoes. Look at them." i said holding up the heels i made for Mal's dress.
