Just when I thought me and Nova were getting somewhere, Stella shows up, and her walls come crashing down again. Successfully locking me out and becoming indifferent once again.
Matt took over on watching Nova as Stella and I went to the blackout room to practice more magic. All the flowers and fruits were still alive and healthy.
Stella once again closed the door and it was just the two of us. "So, you jumped out of the window?"
I looked down embarrassed. It wasn't my proudest moment. "Since your so eager let's not waste any time."
Stella focused her attention on the coffee table and in a matter of seconds it started to float. It rose steadily off the ground until it was hovering in the air.
"Levitating things is about concentration. Your mind must be clear. Like I said, most magic is based on emotions. If you're angry or sad, your magic will act on it. Always be calm and collected."
Stella set the coffee table down. "Your turn."
I stared at the coffee table. Calming my mind proved a lot harder than I thought. It took ten whole minutes of me staring and trying to clear my mind before the coffee table slowly came off the ground.
I smiled as I watched it rise. I set it down again. "I did it."
"With some practice you'll be able to do that with anything. Even yourself."
I nodded. Stella and I practiced picking up the objects in the room. One at a time then all at once. It took a minute but I even made Stella levitate.
"So, about yesterday, I was serious."
Stella and I were sitting on the couch once again. "Serious about what?"
"Taking you out."
I blushed. Was she asking me out on a date?
"So, what do you say? I'll come back tonight around eight."
My mind thought back to Nova. I thought we were getting somewhere. But if Stella liked me and wanted to take me out who was I to say no. Besides, I was in France. There was no way I was staying in the house for as long as I was here.
"Yea, I would like that."
Stella smiled. "Great, put on something sexy."
I blushed. Stella left a lingering kiss on both my cheeks before leaving. Stella was hot and funny and she liked me. So why couldn't I stop thinking about Nova?
I stepped out of the shower and wrapped myself in a towel. I stepped into my room and jumped back. Vanessa was standing there with a bright smile holding a bunch of dresses in her hand.
"I heard you were going on a date."
I nodded, giggling. "It's been so long since I dressed someone up for a date. Knowing Stella she's going to do it big. Nothing is ever simple with that one."
Vanessa laid out the dresses on my bed. They were all absolutely gorgeous. But it seemed like a lot. "Are you sure those dresses are necessary?"
"Absolutely. So, how did she tell you to dress?"
"Sexy."
Vanessa smirked and turned around. She grabbed a short red dress. It had a deep v-neck and a slit going up the side. "Oh my," I said.
I didn't usually wear dresses like that. Mostly because I never had anywhere to go in dresses like that. "Come on, put it on."
I took the dress from Vanessa. She turned around letting me get dressed. I slipped on the dress and it fit perfectly. The slit stopped about mid-thigh and the v-neck showed a good amount of cleavage. Vanessa turned around and clapped her hands. "Great, now hair, makeup and shoes."
