After a long and very uncomfortable flight, we landed in France. Which I believe to be one of the most beautiful countries in Europe. I was hoping that we would get to see Paris. As cheesy as it is, I've always wanted to see the Eiffel Tower.
Nova, Vanessa, Matt and I arrived at the house at around six. Well, mansion is a proper description. It was dark blue Victorian style home. It had a wide wrap around porch. I liked it. We went into the house and my jaw literally hit the floor.
The inside of the house had a more modern look. The floorboards were so shiny I could see my reflection. There was a giant chandelier right above me. To my right was the living room. It was open with black leather couches and a love seat. There was a large flat screen hanging over a fireplace.
To the left was the kitchen. All the appliances were stainless steal and there were granite countertops and a island.
In front of me was a grand white staircase. I started walking up. It spilt off into two sections. Everything here was absolutely beautiful. I wanted to explore the entire house but I had no idea where to start.
"The bedrooms are to the left," Matt said behind me. We all went up the left side of the stairs. The hallway was wide with five doors. There was another set of stairs at the very end of the hall. "Your room is up there," Vanessa said. I wasted no time.
I sped walked down the hall my bags in tow. When I reached the top I was met with a door. I opened it and gasped. It was another bedroom. The walls curved so I knew I was in the tower part of the house. I stepped inside.
There was a king sized bed with a purple and gold comforters. There were two large windows side by side. Thin purple curtains covered them. There was a large white vanity decorated in gold designs and a matching dresser. There were two doors. I assumed it was the bathroom and closet. I left my bags by the door. I ran and launched myself into my bed.
It was so soft and I just sunk into it. I sighed wishing I could stay here forever. But I knew I wasn't on vacation. First thing first was a shower.
I felt sticky and dirty and really needed a nice hot shower. I closed my bedroom door. I walked over to the bathroom. It was equally gorgeous not surprising me at all. I cut on the water and stripped while I let it heat up. I let my hair out of the bun and stepped in the shower.
The hot water ran over me immediately releasing my muscles from tension. I stepped completely under it letting it run over my face. I stepped back to grab soap. Luckily body wash, shampoo and conditioner was already in here.
After a much needed shower I wrapped myself in a towel. My wet hair clung to my skin. Stepping into my room I dried off and bent down to look for clothes in my suitcase. A knock on the door drew my attention.
I opened the door and Nova was standing on the other side. I was suddenly very conscious about being in nothing but a towel. Nova noticed also and it was the first time I saw her with another emotion other then indifference.
"Y-yes," I stuttered. God, I was such an idiot. I should've put on clothes. Nova took a few seconds to respond.
"We ordered dinner. Come down whenever you're ready and we can discuss what it looks like going forward."
Just like that professional Nova was back. Nova who always had a blank expression on her face. I nodded and closed the door. I quickly threw on a sports bra, underwear, shorts and an oversized shirt. I left the room and made my way to the kitchen.
Vanessa and Matt were laughing and talking in the kitchen. I walked over and they both nodded there heads, though it felt more like a bow.
"We got pizza. There's cheese, pepperoni and sausage," Matt said. I smiled thanking them and grabbing two slices of pepperoni pizza. I took a seat on the bar stool. I joined in on Matt and Vanessa's conversation, learning more about them.
