Ty:

Ty noticed Kai staring at the ceiling in a dazed-like manner. Kai's breathing began to quicken, and Ty sat up for a second before he realized he shouldn't take him out of it. Every time Kai was like this, he was thinking about a bad memory, and last time Ty woke him up out of it, Kai nearly killed him. A tune that their mother used to hum to calm them down, softly flowed out of Ty's mouth, this was his first attempt of pulling him back or calming him down. He lay back down still humming the tune, a small bump in the tracks, causing Kai to jump and gain his focus back. Ty glanced at him, the tune dying off as he realized that his brother is out of his trance. His eyes strayed away from Kai for a second as he took in the car. There was minimal lighting due to the lack of light outside, so he could only make out a few boxes in the corners, one with a blanket on top of it. Ty got up and grabbed the, green, raggedy blanket, he threw it over his brother, who he noticed had fallen asleep. He knew the memory Kai was thinking of, and he knew because that was the last time they ever tried a stunt like this, granted it was only 3 years ago. It started to play over in his head, it had gone down in his books as one of the worst days of his life at the lab.

Ty woke up, his head pounding. He reached up to touch his head, only to have it weighed down by chains. Titanium chains? Titanium was their only weakness and the lab used it to their advantage every chance they got. He looked around slowly, TVs lined all four walls, all focused on one thing. They showed Kai, still seeming to be knocked out, on the ground with chains also locked on his arms. Ty pulled on the chains, reaching his arm out, "Kai" he called, again, and again this time louder. The monitor showed his brother slowly waking up, noticing his surroundings he squeezed himself against the wall, a horrified expression taking over his face. Ty pulled on the chains harder, his calls becoming louder, as he watched as two guards walked into his brother's room. A panicked expression came over Kai's face before the guards walked up to him, delivering multiple harsh kicks. Ty growled, fighting his Deabru back. He had to stay calm, for his brother, even though his brother wasn't in the room. How could he be calm? His brother's pained grunts filled the room, causing Ty to lash out more.

"Stop" he yelled loudly. He threw himself at the door, his chains clanking and harshly pulling him back. Blood dripped on the ground as he continued to aggressively struggle, trying to reach the door. He could hear Kai growling now, showing that his Deabru had come out, he knew he couldn't do anything because of the chains. The guards backed up as Kai lunged at them, Ty fell to the ground as he took in his brothers' appearance. Blood leaking out of fresh cuts all over his face, the shirt he wore was ripped showing more bloody cuts and harshly colored bruises. Ty could feel his breath pick up, as anger threatened to swallow him up. The guards stood and watched as Kai growled loudly at them and lunged multiple times but being restricted from reaching them. Ty watched his brother, the way his eyes were no longer a light grey, but a dark brooding black, his posture no longer relaxed, but tense. Ty couldn't bear look at him any longer, the calming tune escaping out of his mouth before he can even think. He shut his eyes tightly, scooting till his back hit the back wall with the chains, putting his hands over his face. He thought he could hear himself echoing but he continued to sing, trying to calm himself down first. The growls he heard from the TV slowly coming to a stop, the only sound was Ty.

Ty slowly lifted his head to see his brother looking into the camera. He knew he was there, his light grey eyes bloodshot, and the blood dry on his face. Ty shot up "Kai" he called "stay strong, I'll be there soon" he said, he didn't hear the echo anymore, so they must have turned off the sound. Kai nodded at the camera. He had heard him, good. Ty sighed in relief, but the calm was short lived as the guards started back on their brutal beating. Ty flung himself towards the door again, his wrists popping against the chains holding him back. "He's had enough!  Stop!" He continued to yell at them, the blood that had once dried being freshly coated with more. Ty couldn't feel the stinging in his wrists, the only thing he felt was anger and anguish.
