Ezio's POV

I had to go. He had found out that I betrayed him. It wasn't safe anymore. I'm sorry Ezio. I love you.

Katarina

I took the note and left the building. I was worried, who wouldn't be? I had to find her, then I would go kill Rodrigo Borgia. I walked down the alleyway to a sight that will haunt my dreams for ever. William was standing there with Katarina. He held a blade to her throat. I froze when I saw him wearing the Templar symbol. I should have known. How could I be such an idiot?!

"Let her go." I said, my anger rising

"Ezio, great to see you again." He said with a sly smile

"I'm not going to tell you again."

"You think you're so powerful, untouchable, but you're wrong. All of you are. The Templars have shown me what you truly are. Monsters. The Templars also value trust, and we kill anyone who betrayes us. And a little bird tells us that she gave you information."

At this I lunged for him. He was so surprised that he dropped his blade and let go of Katarina. She scrambled out of the way. I started fighting him. He fought back, swinging his blade. I easily dodged and made an attacked back. I went to stab him in his stomach but missed, cutting his side. He reacted giving me a chance to kill him. I stabbed him with my hidden blade, before I heard fighting going on behind me. Katarina had found a sword and was fighting the Templars that had arrived. She was extremely good. I helped her out. When they were all killed, I grabbed her by her hand and dragged her out the alleyway.

"Are you alright?" I asked, worried.

"I've been better."

"Let's go."
