Amon POV
Yuu was so serious about this that I can't say no to him. But I do find it ironic that were doing a charm that's supposed to be for "friends" with people that don't exactly like us.
I'm glad I convinced Yuu to ask for their help though, maybe Rina can finally move out of the rival zone, as we call it. It was so Damn obvious that she liked him, but Yuu is oblivious to everything around him, especially girls. Girls have been going gaga for him ever since elementary school!
Now that I think about it, the day I met Yuu was a lot like this one, it was rainy and thunder was striking.
It was a late afternoon, dark and raining so hard I couldn't see a thing. I had gone to get something from my father at the hospital, but I gotten lost on the way there.
But before I knew it, I was standing in the middle of the street, and I saw the lights of a car, going straight at me. I froze, so full of ear that I couldn't breath. The person in the car slammed on their brakes, but I knew it was gonna hit me.
then, I was tackled. And as I stared up into the sky, all muddy from the street, a boy with light brown hair held out a hand to me, his face was half muddy too. He smiled at me.
"Don't go in the street without looking both ways!" He said with a mature feeling to it. Now that I remember, there was someone with him, someone older. It was a girl, so maybe his mother? No, she was in high school... I think.
after that, they escorted me to the hospital where they met my parents, my dad instantly liked Yuu, knowing he was a good willed kid. After that, we got in the same class, and he sat next to me, and talked with me about the manga I was reading, and was really interested in me.He was my first friend.
Now we're in a warehouse, near the edge of town. The others should be here any minute, but me and Yuu came here first to get a head start.
"No way am I letting Izumi say, ' Your late, stupid!' to me!" He said, his pride on the line.
He never changes.
I stand over him every time I'm near him, making me feel like some sort of giant. But Yuu laughed back in middle school, when i started to grow really fast.
"You'll be like my body guard!" He said with a smile.
That's what most people thought of me, his body guard. Even a rumor about him paying me to stick with him came up in our first year of high school, but Yuu scolded everyone in the whole class, saying he'd never do something so... how did he say it? Stupid? Evil? I don't remember.
I'm sitting on a chair, the only things in the warehouse was chairs, around ten of them, Me and Yuu grabbed five of them and set them up so everyone could sit.
"We're here!" Yelled an echo from the far side of the warehouse. In came Rina, Mei, and that ass Nori. I wanted to slug that kid bad. The way he stared at Yuu made me think he wanted to kill him.
Yuu sighed. "Finally! It took you long enough!" He said.
Nori snorted, straightening his glasses. "Well excuse us for choosing such a horrid place!" He said.
I gave him a death glare. But he was right, Yuu chose the place. I already knew why though...
Yuu grinned. "This place is creepy! It sets the atmosphere!" He said, laughing.
Rina cringed at that, looking behind her as if a ghost might decide to say boo. Really, I could tell that Rina was pretty scared of ghosts, but that's what fascinates her. I can read people pretty easily.
stand from the chair. "Lets get this going, shall we?" I say.
Yuu picks up his bag, and grabs the paper doll.
"What's with the bag?" Mei asks.
Yuu keeps his eyes on the doll. "On a post online, someone said never to do this charm because it sends you to a horrible place. I just branch a couple of things... just in case." He said, choosing his words carefully.
I knew Yuu had brought a couple of snacks, and a flashlight or two. But what the others didn't know, is that he brought a knife. Not any knife, a combat knife, the ones used for... killing.
Yuu had told me it was for protection, and I could use it since I'm better with weapons than he is. It's true though, I used to be in kendo. I stopped because other club members got so used to losing to me that they didn't even try.
"This is starting to sound like more than we bargained for." Nori said under his breath. I give him another glare, I swear, every chance he gets he disses Yuu. He better watch himself, or I'll end up beating the crap outta him.
Yuu held out the doll, looking everyone in the eyes. "This is your last chance you turn your back." He said, warning them.
No one said a word. Looks like everyone has different reasons to be here, some stupid and some justified, but their reasons. We all grabbed onto the doll and Yuu began the countdown.
"Three!" Yuu said at the end and we all pulled, the dolls ripping into five pieces. We all stare at our pieces, waiting for something to happen.
I sigh with relief after minute of silence.
"Looks like it's a rumor-"
But I was stopped by my body suddenly falling into a black abyss.
Satoshi POV
"Where's Yuu these days? I haven't seen him in a whole week." Naomi said from the kitchen.
I sigh. "Dunno. Maybe he's finally fed up with us?" I said jokingly.
Naomi didn't say anything back, but I shouldn't had said that. I hate to admit it, but Yuu was like the only thing keeping me and Naomi from remembering Seiko. Just thinking of her made me sad.
I can't begin to imagine th a pain Naomi went through when she saw her friend dangling from a rope. And then learning that it was from her own doing... that's too much.
But I forgive her. Because whether I like it or not, I fell in love with Naomi Nakashima. Her moods, her personality, her body, everything. When I finally asked her out before graduating, I was the happiest guy alive. Who know we'd end up getting married a couple of year later?
With Yoshiki coming over with Yuu every now and then, it was nice. I never thought about that place again, as long as I have this place, my home, and my friends. The ones I love the closest.
There was a knock at the door.
I open it slowly, seeing Yoshiki and Ayumi, both covered in water from the rain. They both looked terrified. I haven't seen Ayumi in a long time, I'm surprised to see her hair grown out, it looked much better.
But their mood made me focus more. This fear I was sensing from them... this feeling of desperation. No.
I croaked out words.
"He didn't..."
Yoshiki bit his lip, while Ayumi looked like she was about to cry. Why did that little idiot have to be so Damn interested in it?! We checked every time what he was studying in his club, so why didn't we notice?!
"He was hiding it from us. He knew we were hiding something." Yoshiki said, looking at the ground. He looked up at me with a grim face.
"I told you we should've told him. He's old enough to know!" He said, getting frustrated.
Naomi came to the door. "Then... what are we supposed to do?" She asked with a worried tone.
We all looked at her, a feeling of despair came over me when I noticed that we can do nothing for Yuu now.
"We wait... and see if he disappears from existence." I said.
