Taehyung's P.O.V

"I fell in love with him."

"There's nothing wrong," Jungkook said, with a small smile on his face, stroking my hair gently, even if it should be uncomfortable since he knew it wasn't my real hair. My tears stop flowing.

"But ... we ... are men."

I muttered, looking down, surprised at myself being able to accept my feelings for Seokjin even in front of Jungkook. But he didn't say anything this time, instead urging me to go home, taking my arm, much more softly than Mom had done minutes ago.

Seokjin's friends were already in the dining room, being accommodated by our mom; as well as a handful of guests had come here, even if I had never seen them. And from Jungkook's frown I knew he didn't either. But there was no trace of Seokjin or Jimin. And neither of that girl who had told me such terrible things. I bit my lower lip, trying not to think about unnecessary things. But in honor of the truth, I saw very little chance that Seokjin and Jimin were together and even less that my piano teacher was with that girl. No, Seokjin must be with her.

Namjoon approached us, but Jungkook made a bad face at him, dodging him while he took me with him in search of free seats before the dining table. I thought about telling Jungkook that he should stop being so unfriendly with Namjoon and Yoongi, but in the end, I decided that it wasn't my business. He was an adult after all.

Jungkook already had his own messes, even if they were more complicated compared to mine. We sat together and saw that mom was laughing openly with a lady who I didn't know. I looked at my front when Seokjin entered the dining room... His eyes looking for me immediately and my cheeks started to burn just to see him.

He sat in front of me, while Namjoon moved himself to the side of Jungkook.

"Oh Yoonji," Seokjin spoke to me, "Smile!" And the simple fact of having him in front of me was enough for me to do it, feeling my heart shrink when I saw him do the same. The fear of breaking the engagement disappearing from my mind. I was not going to do it. He wasn't going to leave me, that is, he wasn't going to leave Yoonji.

Dad then entered the dining room, Mr. Kim and Jimin came with him. My piano teacher gave Jungkook and me a smile before sitting a few seats away from us. The food was pretty good, light and cheerful.

Seokjin's friend Namjoon talked about everything, just addressing me from time to time, but all being friendly. I laughed a few times to his comments, although most of the time Jungkook was the one who answered for me, protectively. I fiddled with my chopsticks, looking sideways at my parents, who were busy talking with some guests that I had never seen before; Well, almost never. I remembered that there was a time when Mom was something like the queen of society, with many friends and with many invitations to public events. Shortly after Dad had banned all of that and we had locked ourselves in the house. My eyes turned away, running into Seokjin's. We smiled at almost the same time. And that synchrony made me so nervous that I dropped my chopsticks, earning a disapproving look from Jungkook. I shrugged and just went under the table in search of my chopsticks, although I could simply ask for others, although it was something that occurred to me until later.

I almost hit my head on the table. I blame it to my clumsiness, taking the chopsticks and then I saw that. The long tablecloth covered them so that no one from above could see them. The knees of Jungkook and Namjoon were very close, almost touching, but this was not what surprised me, but that the left hand of Seokjin's friend was on my brother's thigh, caressing him, very close to his intimate part.

And the strangest thing was that Jungkook didn't push him away. "Yoonji?" Seokjin's voice made me look away before getting up and looking for his eyes immediately. I showed him the chopsticks and saw him smile in a funny way when he understood what I was doing. And I looked at Jungkook, who ate quietly, with both hands on the table, without any frown or something like that on his face. I bit my lip for a second and dared to look at Namjoon who had only one hand above the table to hold the chopsticks. He spoke happily and in the same way, his face showed no disturbance. Nothing in him implied what was happening under the table. But was it exactly what was happening under the table?
