Seokjin's P.O.V
We returned to the house, with our hands intertwined, even Yoonji did not seem very uncomfortable with it like before. However, I could not stop thinking about what we had talked about seconds ago. It was true that this Jimin guy had not pleased me at all, that his closeness and familiarity with Yoonji were annoying to me. But it was also true that Yoonji's answer to my question had made me happy. She didn't like him but liked me. Of course, liking was not the same as loving, but considering that we were still practically unknown to each other, liking each other was truly a big deal in our relationship. We arrived at the dining room, where to my surprise the only one there was Jungkook, who was having drinks on the table. He straightened his back on his seat when he saw us come. "Oh Yoonji, I have to talk to you."
"Okay."
Yoonji said and looked at me and I had to let her go, although I didn't want to. But it was her brother after all and that Jimin was not in my sight was good. I really didn't want him near her again. I saw them leave the dining room where we had arrived and then I realized that my friends were not there. I looked around when I saw some service girls coming in, pushing a cart with what looked like napkins and cutlery. It was obvious that dinner was not yet served. Some Looked at me curiously, without hiding too much, but one of them was practically staring at me and when I caught her she lowered her head.
"An apology, young man."
She muttered, making a slight bow. Although her staring didn't bother me at all. I was used to being observed that way by women after all.
" -No matter," I replied, looking away. She was an older woman, the housekeeper possibly.
"Do you know where my friends are?" I asked looking back at her.
" —The young man's friends are in their rooms. I have told them that dinner is ready. "
" Thank you." I said and looked away again.
But the woman did not go right then, making me feel her gaze on me. I turned again, staring at her, getting her to blush halfway." -Something wrong? "
"You ... are you really going to marry Miss Yoonji?"
"-Yes."
I furrowed my brows in confusion and tilted my head slightly. I did not expect her this question at all.
"Yes.??" The woman looked down and added:" And do you know her?"
"A little, but enough."
"And do you know Taehyung?"
"Unfortunately, I still haven't had the chance."
The woman bit her lower lip as if she wanted to tell me something else, but in the end, she didn't have a chance. Namjoon and Yoongi entered the dining room, laughing and joking about how big the house was and how easy they could get lost in it. And the woman left without saying anything else. And I didn't understand what the twin brother had to do in all that. If who I was going to marry was with Yoonji, not him.
Shortly after the others arrived at the dining room, my parents, Mr. Kim and, of course, Yoonji and Jungkook. At that moment we were the only ones in the house, but that would change in a few days. No wonder the wedding would be on Saturday and the guests would be arriving little by little, including my university classmates. Jungkook pulled my fiancee's hand, making her sit beside her, so I had to settle for taking a seat in front of her, our eyes crossing occasionally. I had Namjoon and Yoongi by my side. It was a quiet dinner, despite the tension that seemed to arise from my mother, which was ignored by everyone. It was me who would marry, not her. She should stop thinking about those weird ideas.
