Chapter 19: Lady Sif and The Warriors Three Meet Athena

Chapter 19

Athena

I can finally say, I know my whole life story. Well 95% of it! Hey it's a start! Thanks to Thor, I've spent several weeks conversing with him about my parents. Most importantly, the dreams I've been having. Being an 'extra dimensional being' means I have super human abilities. My dreams being one of them. My supposed half brothers and sisters have more abilities then me, but only because being on Earth I can't discover my 'true' self. Yes, I can control the elements, being assigned this realm as mine to protect, but if I were to go to Olympus, I would discover more.

Now the question is, when am I going to Olympus? Thor said the only portals was through the bifrost, who's guarded by Heimdall. Another way easier for me was through Mount Olympus in Greece. According to Thor, that's the way in and out of the realm for Greek Gods only. He assures my own mother and father have used that portal various times. This explains my dream about Mount Olympus. All of my answers are there.

I honestly wouldn't know how to approach the situation about meeting my birth parents, better yet explain this to my dad, aka, Tony Stark. I'm surprised I haven't fainted or gone into shock to finally be taught the truth. My own senses know I can trust Thor, that he is not lying to me. Everything he says, clicks right inside of me. I dread the moment I tell my dad this, I know him being him with his big ego, he'll mask his emotions, when in the inside he will be hurt, but I'll love him no matter what, he is my dad, he raised me.

I yet have to tell SHIELD everything I have discovered, but I'm sure they will figure it out. All I've said is that they will get their answers soon, Coulson trusts me on that. I've been in New Mexico long enough, I've missed my dad in Monaco. I know he's in trouble, it's been all over the news. Someone else figured out the arc reactor technology. I can't imagine the stress Pepper is going through, that's why this morning it was my last day here in New Mexico. I decided to spend it with Thor, Jane, Darcy, who is pretty cool, and Dr. Selvig. Yes, they know who I am. It took them a while to get used to, especially Darcy, but I loved their company.

Darcy and Selvig sit at a card table, drinking coffee. I'm skimming over a magazine, while having also a cup of coffee. Thor holds a couple plates as Jane makes eggs on a hotplate. She scoops them out onto the plates. Thor takes them over to the table, sets them down before us.

"Thanks!" Darcy and I say in unison, then laugh at each other.

"You're very welcome." Thor smiles.
Jane joins us at the card table with a couple more plates. She and Thor sit and start to eat their breakfast, we seem like a little family.

Jane, Thor, Darcy, and Selvig make a charming team, tidying up after breakfast -- washing, drying, and putting plates and utensils away. I clean up the table from crumbs, and wipe it down. Suddenly the door opens.

"Found you!"

All of us turn to see three men and a woman smiling and waving. All with cheeky grins on their faces staring baffled at the sight of the domestic Thor drying dishes in mortal clothing. Jane drops the plates, shattering them in the process. I'm just as shocked as everyone else in the room, except for Thor.

"My friends!" Thor happily races over and greets his comrades.

Jane, Selvig, Darcy, and I watch the Asgardians from across the room. Jane looks concerned. Selvig and Darcy eye them with wonder. Me I just stare in amazement. More Gods maybe?

"I don't believe it..." Selvig says.

"Who are they?" Darcy questions.

"Lady Sif and the Warriors Three!" The big guy with the long beard says. "Surely you've heard tales of Hogun the Grim, Fandral the Dashing, and I, Volstagg the Svelte?"

"Uhh..." I start.

"Well, perhaps I've put on a little more muscle since I was last here!" The guy with the long beard chuckles.

"That would have been a thousand years ago? Northern Europe?" Jane states.

"Exactly! Those lovely herring people. They worshipped us!" Voltstag says, I think that's his name.

Thor grins, lays a hand on Volstagg's shoulder, "My friends, I've never been happier to see anyone. But you should not have come."

"Um it's getting pretty late for me, SHIELD must be waiting..." I say awkwardly, because suddenly everyone's eyes were on me. Selvig takes the curtesy to bring over my luggage. This was awkward, I'm leaving when I could be learning more.

"Miss Stark, it was a pleasure meeting you!" Selvig takes me in his arms for a warm hug.

"It was a pleasure as well Erik!" I reply with a smile. I move on to Darcy who gives me a big bear hug, I will surely miss her and her quirky antics! Next is Jane who seems sad, but she hides it with a smile. I hear a honk outside and see agents in a SHIELD car waiting for me. "Jane it was a pleasure meeting you, I told Coulson he should return your research and he will, just give it a day or two!"

"Thank you so much Athena!" Jane hugs me. I hear gasps in the room, and they are not from Darcy or Selvig, but Thor's friends, while he chuckles. I start grinning knowing what's going to happen next.

"You should all come by Stark Tower, it's a new building my dad is modeling up in New York!" I say. I get nods and smiles from Jane and Selvig, Darcy however fangirls. Lastly, I turn to Thor who has a weary smile.

"Lady Athena..." He opens his arms, and once again a gasp is hear amongst his friends.

"Thank you.." I hug him back, "Without you being here, I would've never known who I am, I really can't find any other words then thank you for everything you've done!"

"I have done nothing but to tell the truth." He says triumphantly.

"You mean to say..." One of his friends start.

"No it can't be!" The girl says, who I think looks like Princess Xena.

"My friends, meet Lady Athena, Zeus' and Metis' daughter!"

The four of them look at me in shock, completely surprised.

"Lady Athena!" The girl comes over to me to hug me, Sif? Whatever, she looks like Wonder Woman anyways and Xena.

"Sif is the one of the fiercest warriors we have in Asgard, who happens to be the only maiden." Thor says.

"Lady Athena." The Warriors Three bow.

"No need to bow." I say with chuckle.

"It's an act of respect, my lady." The blonde one says, who I think is Fandral.

"It's nice to meet all of you, even though I wish I could stay I can't, today is my dad's birthday." I shrug, but they look at me in confusion, "Adoptive father." I add.

"Ohh!" They all say in unison while I laugh, at the same time, the agents honk again outside. I shake my head in annoyance, and get my luggage.
"Hopefully we see each other again soon!" I say to Thor and give him one last hug.

"I hope so too Lady Athena." He nods with a smile.

SHIELD Agents wait for me outside the car, they take my luggage and put it in the trunk. They eye suspiciously Sif and the Warriors Three.

"Who are they?"

"Friends, amazing friends." I say. "Where's Coulson?"

"He's with a team near the crater site, a lot of disturbances are happening, you wouldn't know anything about that would you?" The agent eyes me suspiciously over the rear view mirror.

"Tell Coulson to call me once he's done, I have a lot to tell him."

Hi guys! Short update here, but I'll update again next week! Now that Athena is a SHIELD Agent, what should be her name? Give me ideas! References to the Goddess herself would be cool too! Now that she's heading back to California to find Tony, what will she find?
