As Parvati strolled through the streets, she watched proudly as the zombies disintegrated into piles of dark dust. People emerged from their houses and looked around in a confused manner. Breathing in the crisp spring air deeply, Parvati reminisced on her clear mind. Not having the corruption that the 50 cent coin ingrained in her skull was very freeing, and made her feel like a flying bird.

Once she made it to Luminescent Lake, her legs began to wobble slightly as she watched the horrific scene unfold in front of her. Mayla pushed Diego out into the blood-shaded-lake and lay on the beach to cry silently, and Parvati couldn't help but feel her eyes water as well.

Approaching slowly, Parvati clutched her sweater's sleeves cautiously, stepping quietly behind Mayla. Her cautious movements did not alert Mayla to her presence, but Mayla wasn't necessarily surprised at the girl's appearance either. They crouched by the bloody water and watched the ripples of Diego's floating body silently.

As the wind whistled slowly and painfully, Parvati felt her own face heat up with passionate sadness, and she crouched into her legs. Mayla laid her own head on Parvati, as Parvati did the same to Mayla, and they just sat there for a while.

"What are we going to do now?" Parvati whispered in the spring air. "The zombies are gone." Mayla shook her head sorrowfully and reached into her pocket, retrieving a small coin.

"We still have one more problem; that bitch who started it all," Mayla growled under her breath. She placed the coin into Parvati's hand, and Parvati took it with concern, as she had abandoned the coin purposefully. Holding it up to the wind, she covered the sun with it and then brought it back down to her legs, which had on knee-high black socks that went with her dress with white lace and her sweater.

"What do you want me to do with this?" Parvati asked.

"Summon a woman that Noah told me about..." The name stung on her lips but she powered through the words. "Her name is Marilyn, he said, and that from what Clary had told him, she should be able to help. Noah said that Clary said that MUSE said that Marilyn was a demon hunter, but was killed lately by that same demon."

"That's some pretty intense gossip."

"Yeah, well..." Mayla paused. "All gossip is pretty intense if you think about it. Anyway, we should probably summon this Marilyn person if she's meant to help us, at least in order to proceed with the story."

"Damn, how many times have we even broken the fourth wall in this freaking book?" Parvati asked Mayla in an exasperated tone. "We should start a fucking count or some shit to keep track." Anyway, back to the plot, Parvati held the coin and adjusted her position to sit criss-cross. Rubbing the coin, she hummed to herself and held the coin gracefully in front of her. Her eyes closed, she began the meditation needed in order to access the spirit world.

Marilyn opened her eyes to the sight of the lake in the area of the town of Graywood. Glancing around, she adjusted her gloves and watched as the world began to form around her. Fog lifted and she became sober from the dreaminess that surrounded her death. She didn't quite feel alive, but she did feel physically there; so basically how most humans felt normally.

"Fuck I'm back here? GOD DAMN IT!" Marilyn swore into the air. The sun was about to set behind the two girls that were sitting in front of her. One of them held out two 50 cent coins in her palms. As Marilyn formed, the girl with the white sweater began to slip out of her meditation.

"Marilyn?" The other girl asked. "Is that you? Aren't you the girl who died recently?" Marilyn walked slowly to the two sitting girls and adjusted her pink dress. "You have to help us-"
