Stepping slowly down the stairs, Marilyn heard muffled cries from the two demon possessed fighters. Parvati spaced them out evenly in front of the door, and they watched as Marilyn strutted elegantly down the stairs. She smiled and observed Mayla and Ms. Ramona as they stared behind demonic eyes.
Watching carefully, she began to silently pull things out of her bag and spread them out on the table; tarot cards, voodoo trinkets, and various other things you could guess at. At last she pulled out a small handbook titled A Beginners Guide to Exorcizing Demons.
"Finally! I really need to organize this..." Marilyn paused. "Or I would, but I'm dead. Anyway, read up." Walking over to Parvati, she handed her the book. Parvati responded by giving Marilyn the most sarcastic eye-roll that she could muster, which was pretty sarcastic.
"I can't just become an expert on this in two minutes, let alone read a fucking two-hundred page book!" Parvati complained, which was a reasonable statement to make.
"You know, back in my day..."
"Back in your day?!" A scoffing voice came out of Parvati's throat, and Marilyn turned around with a bewildered demeanor. "You're, like, 23, right? That's about 7 years younger than I am!" With a disdainful glance, Marilyn shook off the comment and went back to spreading out the deluge of voodoo-related items onto the table, with audible groans from the background making their way up into the
"Fine... I'll do everything; you just try to keep them still while I do so, alright?" With a hint of animosity in her voice, she set to work in preparing all of the necessary items.
"Do you have everything?" Parvati asked in a genuinely inquisitive manner, as she looked about the items that were being laid out onto the table. Marilyn nodded solemnly and picked up a small piece of what looked like chalk, as well as snatching the book that she had given to Parvati.
"Yes... all I need now is to perform the exorcism properly..." Taking a deep breath she lunged quickly to the ground and began to encircle the two possessed humans with a line of chalk. On the line, she began to write complex things with non-human letters and words. Parvati couldn't tell what kind of lettering it was, though it looked very hard to replicate.
Marilyn moved a blinding speed, quickly lining the drawn circle. Then she moved inside it and drew large symbols and lines, weaving around the two wooden chairs that held the demon-possessed teacher and student.
After a few minutes, Marilyn popped back up and took out the tarot cards that she had bought at Toil and Trouble. Breathing deeply, she focused her energy and closed her eyes. Parvati watched as the two possessed humans stared exhaustedly toward the woman.
Suddenly and unexpectedly, Marilyn's eyes shot open, her eyes gleaming with pink lights that rained out sparks, like cherry blossoms on a windy day. The wind began to pick up, and the room around everything began to swirl as if they were all in the eye of a tornado.
Marilyn quickly slid out the card in a fan and took them in two hands. With fluid and whimsical movements, she began to dance around the two in the center of the living room, where they were tied up. The lines and symbols on the floor began to glow as well as Marilyn danced, her speed increasing with the intensity of the light.
She began to spin wildly, her dress whirling around like one of those old spinning tops. The cards began to fly around her and encompass her, each reflecting their own light. Right before the light blinded Parvati, Marilyn stopped spinning and faced the two. With a god-like voice, she smiled and began to speak.
"Au revoir you pathetic monsters," she cooed wickedly as the cards began to beam towards the two demons. Lines of light sliced through the demons and left photonic particles in their wake, though they weren't they actual photons, just tiny sparks of light. Screams of pain emanated from the mouths of the two demons.
