Today was no different than any other day. I'd wake up, go to a shitty underfunded public high school, and then spend the day with the people that make my life a living hell. My one fault was that I craved attention. It's a basic necessity that was needed to survive. Socialization with peers was another necessity. No one ever warned me about this rule nor told me that I would enjoy it.
Probably why I'm currently in fifth period listening to a teacher debate with a violet haired girl on why capital punishment should be illegal in Ohio. Which is totally unrelated to the quadratics unit in review. Terrence catches my eye from across the room and rolls his eyes to further prove his annoyance with school. In response I kicked my feet onto the seat in front of me. The girl who had kept her stuff on the unoccupied seat turns around glares at me but moves her stuff away from me regardless. She turned to complain to her best friend who was none other than Maeve Levi. Maeve Levi was probably one of the most charismatic and humble people you could ever meet. She didn't many friends besides Evelyn, the girl she was currently talking. Throughout middle school I knew her a lot better than most people could say they did, because her twin brother Grayson and I were best friends. In the summer of eight grade we grew apart due to personal reasons. My inner monologue was soon interrupted when the rusting school bell went off and my focus was soon after ripped away from Maeve, much to my dismay.

I'm so sorry that I didn't post sooner I wasn't really sure what to write, and how to start this book off. I'm really sorry if it's short, I'm trying to work a bit harder on extending chapters.
