Steve's pov
I woke up to Natasha out of the bed already. She mostly wakes me up when she wakes up. This is the one day she never does that.
I sat up and grabbed my phone to call her.
"Hey." Natasha walks in.
"Hi, what's up with not waking me this morning?" I asked.
"I had a private chat and I just finished it right now." She said.
"With who?" I asked.
"You'll know." She looked away.
I made it my mission to find who this person was. After showering and getting all dressed up, I asked Nat who the person was again.
"A private chat is a private chat. You know how it goes." She said.
"Who knows what goes?" Aidan asked.
"Your mother is hiding something from me." I said.
"Hey!" Natasha said.
"Oh" Aidan said as he chuckled, "Wait."
"I just heard, what's this private chat about?" Tasha came down the stairs.
"You're lucky I came back in time." Naya entered.
"Why did you do that?" Natasha asked.
"Dad's words practically made me." Aidan said.
"Wait! I'm here!" Ethan ran in.
"It's not a family meeting." I said.
"But it is. So, spill it mom." Naya said
"Hi! Can I have your mom for a minute?" Wanda walked in.
"But we're having a family meeting!"
"Uh no I'm sorry."
"I'm gonna talk to your mother!" Wanda raised her voice.
"I'd let her if I was you." I whispered.
"Yes, you would." Wanda said.
The kids didn't get anything from Natasha and neither did I.
Maria's pov
Sam cannot get off my back with my private chat. I oughta distract him with something.
*dinner*
We had the Rogers, Barnes, and Starks over.
Steve's pov
Maria has surprised everyone with the baby news. Especially Sam. He was so happy about this, their 3rd one.
Aalia was looking out the window.
"Whatcha looking at?" I asked.
"Mommy's sad. *gasp* I wasn't supposed to tell you that." Aalia said.
"Why not?" I asked.
"Because mommy said she needed time alone and she didn't want anyone to know, especially you daddy." Lia says.
"I'm gonna go out and talk to her." I said.
"Okay, but I didn't tell you anything daddy." Lia said.
"Okay, sweetheart." I chuckled.
I was outside looking for her, I know Natasha is really good at hiding so I just looked in the dark.
"What are you doing out here?" She asked from a really dark spot.
"Trying to find my wife. You found me." I said.
I went and sat with her on the bench.
"Why are you really here?" She asked.
"I was in that house looking for my wife, then one of my kids told me that she was outside and very sad." Steve said.
"Aalia, I should've stuck with Aliana." She said.
"Daddy wants to know why mommy is sad." I said.
"It's just- seeing them, having another kid. I really am happy for them I just wanted more for us. We were never really done with kids." She said.
"And I love you for that but we're in this together so stop leaving me out." I said.
"I know but I just needed some fresh air, alone." She said.
"I'm here if you need me." And we got closer.
"Mommy!" Aliana was carrying Mariana.
"Whoa hey hey, who was watching Mariana?" Natasha asked.
"It was Ethan but he told me to bring her to you because he needed to go to HQ." Aliana says.
"That boy should start living out of our house." Steve picked up Mariana.
"Oh and Aalia is sleepy." Aliana said and left.
"I think we should bring the kids home." Natasha said.
"Or our older kids can." I said.
"It's a plan." Natasha said.
*calling*
Naya-hello?
Nat- take the kids back home
Naya-what?? I wanted to stay longer
Nat- Naya take the kids home, daddy and I are staying back
Naya-fine
"Bye babies." Natasha said.
"But we're gonna have to take this one." Steve picked up Mariana.
"Go before Jackson wakes up." Aidan said.
"G'night." We said.
"G'night love you." They said.
"Love you too." We said.
So we put Mariana in what used to be Baby Jake's crib and we drank with the others. Then we snuck out and 'talked'.
