Arc 3: Chapter Six

No one knew how happy Lucy felt when she heard those words. They found him, he was alive.

They rushed to the hospital and Lucy speed walked the whole way there, and would've ran if it wasn't for being pregnant.

Lucy enters the hospital room and can feel herself start to tear up as she sees him, alive.

"Natsu," she says softly.

He turns her way and gives her his signature smile.

"Hey Luce," he says as she falls into his arms.

"Don't act so casual you idiot!" She says. "I thought I was going to lose you!" She cries even harder.

Natsu wraps his arms around her. "I'm here now Lucy," he smiles.

Lucy looks up at him and kisses his lips passionately, just as Wendy and Grandine come in.

"You two lovebirds took no time to rekindle." Grandine smiles as they break apart.

Lucy blushes, a hand going to her stomach as she feels the twins kick.

"I thought you were dead!" Wendy says hugging Natsu. Natsu smiles and hugs her back. "Don't worry Wen, look at me. Alive and well."

"You may be alive but your far from well. The doctors already informed me about how your on bed rest for the next month." Natsu groans. "Now your gonna be on my ass for the next month..." he mumbles.

Grandine pinches his cheeks causing Natsu to yelp. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" He says making Lucy and Wendy laugh.

"Looks like Natsu's getting in trouble," says a voice Lucy easily recognizes as Gray. "Reminds me of when we were younger...he'd always get in trouble." Gajeel laughs.

"I heard you found him, thanks a lot Gray!" Lucy hugs him.

"No problem," he says before moving to her ear. "You know I see Natsu as a brother." He whispers.

"Whatchu whispering to my girl!?" Natsu yells.

"Dont worry about it," Lucy sends him a smile making Natsu sigh, deciding not to start anything. His body hurt too bad to fight anyway.

"Speaking of which...where'd Zeref go?" Asks Grandine.

"I asked him to pick me up some food that wasn't hospital food." Natsu says fake gagging.

"Poor baby," Lucy says kissing cheek but instead Natsu moves his head so she kisses his lips.

"Ugh the PDA. Get a room," Gray announces causing everyone to laugh.

"Natsu stop..." Lucy pushes him away but he pulls her closer whining. "Greedy I see. We'll have tons of time for that later." She whispers.

"So, did they find out who caused the crash?" Lucy asks, sitting on the edge of his bed.

"No, but there still looking." He answers.

"Who would hate you that bad that they would hijack your private jet?" Gajeel asks and Natsu thinks for a moment.

"I know this may sound weird but...it has to be Loke."

"Loke? Natsu that's insane. He went to jail-"

"That doesn't mean anything. He has money and influence. If he almost got away with kidnapping Lucy he could've gotten away with killing me-"

But Natsu's cut off as Lucy pukes in the nearby garbage.

"I'm sorry...that thought was just, sickening." She says wiping her mouth. Natsu wanted more than to get up and go comfort her, seeing the fear in his eyes.

The next week Natsu was able to go home, and Lucy was stuck watching him for the next three weeks, not that it bothered her.

She wanted to keep a better eye on him now anyway. Christmas was also in literally five days so Lucy was excited. She also needed to get Natsu something. He's done so much for her, and even pays for most of their stuff.

What could she get him to not only thank him for that, but also for his love and affection?

"Luce!" Says a voice snapping her from her train of thought.

"What?" She asks with a slight attitude. "Ah, sorry, hormones..." she trails off.

Natsu wraps his arms around her waist. "Lucy," he sings. "You've been zoning out all day. What's on your mind?" He asks.

"Nothing...actually I need to head out. I'll be back by dinner." She promises, kissing his cheek before grabbing her keys and leaving, leaving Natsu confused and dumbfounded.
