The Play : Part I

All the lights were dimmed and soon a spotlight focused on a girl who was getting ready.

She looked at her reflection in the mirror.

Absolutely stunning Surbhi... She complimented herself.

Again the lights were dimmed and soon another spotlight appeared and focused on the other side of the dias.

He the boy put on his shade and his ear pods.

Just perfect Pearl... He complimented his reflection.

The lights once again was dimmed and everyone looked at the stage intrigued.

Now the lights focused on a corridor where a few people where walking around. Soon Pearl and Surbhi entered the corridor from opposite directions. Both were engrossed in looking around at the boards hanging near the door of each room.

Both came to a stand still at the entrance of the same room and without noticing the other they bumped into each other.

Oops!!! Sorry!!! Both apologised together.

Then they noticed that their ID cards which they were carrying in their hand was now on the floor.

Both of them bend together to take it and a result they hit their heads together.

Sorry again!!! They apologised and walked into the class.

Mahir's eyes widened with shock seeing the scene enacted in front of him. He glanced at Bela to see his expression mirrored on her face.

Pearl walked in and sat in the fourth row, while Surbhi stood confused near the first and second row.

First row or second row??? Surbhi thought for a minute.

Second row with the window seat... After a while she sat down and opened her book.

Hi Ms. Surbhi... Pearl sat down next to Surbhi and greeted her.

How do you know my name??? Surbhi asked surprised.

Instead of answering her question, Pearl further told about the info he knew about her.

WTH!!! How do you know so much about me??? We just meet... Surbhi exclaimed shocked.

Yep... We just meet... Well precisely bumped into each other and our ID cards got exchanged... Pearl showed the ID card he had which was actually Surbhi's.

Oh... Surbhi then returned the card she had an took back her card.

Both of them, then casually began to talk and the lights dimmed.

Now when the lights were turned on it showed a Canteen with 4 people sitting and chatting. Two out of them were Pearl and Surbhi.

Advik!!! The other girl angrily smacked him.

Offo Anita!!! Let me eat... Advik nonchalantly ate.

That was mine... You already ate your sandwich... Anita stated.

Pearl and Surbhi giggled seeing their banter.

The lights now focused on a classroom. Pearl, Anita and Advik were listening to the lecture with a bored expression. While Surbhi was keenly listening to it as well as making notes.
