"So, this is the gang leader?" Leiny asked, pressing her body against the roof. She pulled her hood down over her face and glanced over at Jacob, perched next to her.
"Indeed. I'm going to jump down, take out the guys around him. You keep an eye on him and grab him if he tries to run." He explained, looking back at her for approval.
"You are bloody joking, yes?" She asked, giving him an incredulous look.
"No." He replied, blankly.
"My god. I will take out the guards on the perimeter and the gunmen with my throwing knives, then you go in and take out the group standing near him while I make sure he doesn't get away. Then you won't have a complete ruckus on your hands. Better?"
Jacob rolled his eyes at her. "Of course, my dear."
"Fantastic." She adjusted her hood and jumped over to the next roof, throwing a knife gracefully into the head of the nearest gunman, then air assassinated the other. She looked down and saw two guards standing at the enterance. Using her eagle vision, she could not see anyone else nearby, so she jumped down and performed a double assassination, stabbing one with her kopesh and the other with her hidden blade. She then used her rope launcher to rappel back up to the roof. She looked back over at Jacob and gave him the singal to attack, as she took out the last two perimeter guards with her throwing knives.
She hid behind a hedge, waiting for the leader to run. Selfish, bloody bastard. As expected, he ran out onto the road, searching for a carriage the hijack, clearly. Leiny seized the opportunity, sprinting after him and tackling him to the ground.
"You're coming with me, Sir." She declared, proceeding to knock him out and carry him to the nearest carriage, before shoving him inside. She the turned it around and pulled up outside the Blighter territory, where Jacob stood, surrounded by the bodies of the five Blighters.
"Impressive," Leiny called out.
"Not too bad yourself." Jacob called back, jogging over to the carriage and pulling himself into the seat next to her.
"You're not driving." She stated, pulling the reins away from him as he tried to grab them. "You're not ruining this carriage. I'm returning it after." She flicked the reins, spurring the horses on.
"You are a terrible driver too." Jacob complained.
"I am not!" Leiny shot back. "Watch yourself sir, or I will put you in the back to body-sit."
Jacob sighed and leaned back, putting hid legs up on the rail. "Suit yourself."
They arrived at the drop off point for the gang leader soon after. Jacob pulled the unconcious body out of the back of the carriage, roughly transferring it into Abberline's police carriage.
"Splendid!" Abberline announced, handing three-hundred and fifty pounds to Leiny. "You didn't kill them this time." He gave a look to Jacob, who shrugged innocently. "You're returning the hijacked carriage I assume?" Abberline asked.
"We're just about to do that, Sergeant." Leiny responded with a smile. "Come on Jacob." She called him over, climbing back onto the carriage. He got in beside her once more and she spurred the horses on, offering a wave to Abberline.
"He likes you more than he likes me." Jacob grouched.
"Maybe because I don't kill the people he asks for alive." She snapped.
"It's not my fault they make it difficult not to kill them."
"Jacob, dear, you're a loveable rogue. Still a rogue, but loveable nonetheless. Why do you think people stick around even when you're infuriating?" Leiny asked.
