All 5 of us fell over laughing as we stepped out of the locker room. That softball game was one if the funniest I had seen in a while.
"Oh my God, did you see his face once he struck out? He looked like he was either going to cry or become really mad!" Jess exclaimed.
She was talking about Haiden. He had struck out at bat and he looked pissed. As a matter of fact, all of the so called 'bad boys' got out. Haiden and Alex had struck out but Faren had hit a ball to center field, but Sakura caught it.
We all had positions on the field. Sakura had taken center, Mackenzie was catcher, I was pitcher, James was at first base and Jess was at shortstop.
They were all on fire today. We had won by a mile and I was proud of my team. There were other kids on the field, obviously, and they were awesome. They didn't really seem to like to talk much but they were amazing players.
"What so you guys have next? I have AP calculus. " I said.
"I do too. And so does James." Mackenzie said as she pulled his schedule from her bag.
"Im not even going to ask how you got that. What about you Sakura?" I asked still slightly glancing at Mackenzie. I was so confused but, growing up with this group, I learned it's better not to ask questions.
"I have History now. Please tell me at least Jess does too?" Sakura asked pleadingly.
"Sakura, hun, I had history first period with Jeyleann. At you feeling okay?" Jess asked faking concern. At least I hoped she was faking.
"Ugh. Wait, you don't have calculus. What's your next class?" Sakura asked with curiosity.
"I have study hall next. Then art. It's a passion of mine." She smiled.
"I'm glad you enjoy art. I have it after math so I'll see you there. " I said with a smile.
"Okay. Real quick heads up though, Alex and Haiden are in calculus, and Faren is in History. Sometimes they skip, sometimes they go. Just thought I'd warn you." Jessica said with a shrug.
"Im sure they won't cause any trouble. Of course, we have a deal anyways. " I said with a smirk.
"Anyways, y'all better get to class. The bell going to ring soon. " Jess said reminding us all we have to go to class.
We all collectively groaned but trudged to class anyway. Sakura headed to history, while Jess headed to the library and me, Mackenzie and James headed around the corner to calculus.
As much as I hated to admit it, Geometry, Calculus and Algebra actually helped with the gang. Managing our finances, building and controlling businesses can be stressful.
We walked into class 5 minutes late so the teacher had already started the lesson. Surprisingly, the Bloodied Roses members were already in the class and were staring at the door in shock.
"Do you have a note for your lateness to my class?" The teacher asked in an exasperated tone.
He was an old little man. I think his name was Mr. Fritz or something like that. His back was only slightly hunched over and had stress lines across his face. This teacher has probably been teaching high schoolers since before my grandparents were born.
"Not really but then again, who wants to be in a math class like this anyway?" I remarked.
The teacher just rolled his eyes and went back to teaching whatever he had started. Something about functions, I don't even know.
We just sat down and started attempting to pay attention.
I had dozed off about 4 different times but woke up once James or Mackenzie nudged me awake. I just wanted to sleep. After we were 30 minutes I into class, the teacher said something that had caught my attention.
"Okay class. I hoped you guys paid attention because I have decided to have a quiz next class. And surprise, surprise! You have to have a partner which you will share that grade with. " The class had collectively groaned at the mention of a test but then chatter erupted when he said partners.
I just rolled my eyes and looked boredly at Mackenzie and James. I knew exactly what was about to happen. I've been to enough schools to notice when a teacher wants to ruin your fun, by choosing partners.
He seemed to wait a few minutes for everyone to get excited before deciding to speak. "Alright calm down class. I have already chosen your partners for the test."
I smirked at my friend's and they just lightly chuckled back. I was almost always right no matter what it came to. Especially if it involved school. We got wierd looks from Alex and Haiden but we all ignored them.
"Alright class, listen when I can your names. Sasha and Jonas, Anthony and Edward... " After that, I honestly zoned out until j heard people that I knew. "Elena and Natalie", sluts, "James and Kacee" i busted out laughing, unable to hold it in,"Haiden and Mackenzie" I kinda feel bad for both of them but if serves them right for waking me up. "Alex and Jeyleann"
I stopped laughing then and almost choked on air.
The teacher continued to list names for what seemed like forever.
I could feel his eyes on the side of my head but I decided to ignore them. I only jumped when I felt a hand on my shoulder.
I looked up to see his beautiful sea blue eyes. Although no they seemed to be a mixture of green and blue, almost like the Caribbean. I realized I was slightly staring and quickly looked away and chatised myself. One of the most deadliest gang leaders in the world should no be daydreaming over an opposing leader.
His smirk did not go unnoticed though when he noticed my dilemma. "What are you doing over here?"
He looked put off by my tone but only answered. "The teacher told us to move towards our partners. Weren't you listening?"
I looked over and saw Mackenzie had moved next to Haiden and James had moved next to Kacee although he looked like he'd rather take torture. I inwardly chuckled only to notice that everyone had moved toward their partner.
"Obviously not or I wouldn't have asked the question dumbass. "
He looked shocked and was about to reply but the teacher spoke first.
"By the way class, these will be your seats and partners for the rest of the year." I groaned.
" I see that you heard him that time." He said smirking. "By the way, when's your study hall period?"
"Eighth period. Why?" I asked suspiciously. He was acting weird. We were supposed to hate each other and he was being.... nice?
He smiled. "So is mine. And I asked because I was wondering if you wanted to study for the test that we were just partnered for?"
He sounded so hopeful that it almost hurt to say what i was going to say next. "I don't know. I was thinking of leaving school early actually. So probably not. "
His smile dropped quickly. "Oh, okay. Nevermind then. " He looked so crestfallen that it basically broke my heart.
Oh dear God please stop my mouth now.
"Who needs to unpack boxes anyway? I guess i can tell the gang theg dont het to misss school. They'll be mad but who cares right?"
His face lit up like a kid in a candy store. "Really?" He asked excitedly.
I nodded my head while mentally smashing it with a hammer. What the fuck did I just do?
