- 7:15am -

I sat down at the table with my breakfast. It
was the first day back today.

"Good morning mija" my mom kissed my forehead as she sat down next to me. My dad was already at work.

"Morning mama."

"Emocionado por hoy?" She asked (excited for today?)

"You could say so."I said taking another spoonful of my cereal

"Why is that?" She scooted her chair closer to mine

"It's nothing, schools just a pendejo" I groaned

"Uh, watch your mouth!" she replied

"Sorry mama" I stood up and kissed her cheek,"I better get going." I got my bag, keys and headed out the door. I got into my Range Rover and played a song.

I was singing the lyrics to the song whilst I was on my way to school.

I pulled up to the schools parking lot. I looked around the parking lot, there were a few more parked cars than I expected and there were a lot of people walking through the front entrance.
I got out of my car and got a call from my bestie Naomi

Caller ID naomi 💛💫

"Hey bitchhhhh"  she said

"Hey hoeeee"

"Ok straight to the point, you know jabez?"
She asked

"The hell, like everyone doesn't"

"He glowed the hell uppp!" She started.

"He looks even finer then before." She added,

Ah yes, the schools "player" everyone thinks he is, I do too. I mean, he's been with at least 4 girls in the past 2 months.

I giggled

"But I got my eyes on another prize."

"Who?" I asked

"You know don?" She asked

"Donavin green? Jiggy?"

"Yeah." She answered

"Wow" I giggled, "I'll see you inside anyways"

"Kay bye boo" she replied

"See ya bitch" I replied and ended the call.

I got out of my car and walked towards the school. Inside I got a few stares but I ignored them. I walked over to my locker grabbed a few things then shut it. I turned around and saw jabez and his friends all talking in the middle of the hall.

I walked over to my first class, English. I walked into the room and was greeted by my teacher, Ms D.

"Ah, Miss Karter, exactly 23 seconds late."

"You really counted that? Damn are you that bored of your life?" I asked while rolling my eyes. I heard giggles and laughs from everyone.

"Just sit down and keep your mouth shut"

"I'll try" I said batting my eyelashes.

I walked to the back row of seats and sat in the corner. A few minutes passed and suddenly jabez knocked at the door. Ms D opened the door and told him to sit next to me.

He walked past a few girls being their thotty selves. But he completely ignored them.
Jabez took the seat next to me.

"Long time no see mamas."
I ignored him
"Mamas"

"Amariah"

"Yes?" I questioned

"No hi jabez? No how's it been jay?" He asked

"Hey jabez..."

"Yeah?"

"I needa tell you something." I looked into his eyes, he seemed nervous.

"Go ahead..."
