In for the win

Once again my team was against quite a sad opponent, so I decided to give Valt a go in the ring. Annoyingly, he screamed the minute I told him the news. "Your sending that idiot in? You must be getting lousy De La Hoya." Shark boy scoffed, seemingly annoyed with the news. I gave him an unamused look, refraining from just outright glaring at him. "We'll see who made the wrong judgement when he battles. Now stop whining and watch. You're up in the next set of battles." Half grunting, half scoffing, Lui nodded his head and sat in the seat next to me. "Those two really are something." I heard Sunrise mumble to our tall, red-headed giant. "Yeah." He agreed back. I gave them both a straight face. They stopped talking when Valt made his entrance. "What's this? Japan's team are sending in the underdog Valt Aoi! Wohohoho! Let's see what this kid's got! Ladies and Gentleman are you ready?" There was a string of cheers as Valt and his opponent from whatever team we were facing came out (I couldn't be asked to research them). "GO VALT! WE BELIEVE IN YOU!" Two twin voices called out from the stands. "C'MON BUDDY! YOU GOT THIS! MAKE US PROUD!" Another familiar voice shouted out. Then there was two more voices belonging to the raven-heads. "You got this Valt!" They were quieter, but still noticeable. I gave a faint smile, hearing all the recognition and confidence-filled words being spewed from Valt's old team. "Make us proud." I mumbled quietly. Raring himself up, Valt took a few steps backwards, then made his way completely to the bey stadium. "You got this honey! Do us proud!" I gazed up slightly, spotting two familiar figures stationed next to the Beigoma Academy team. Moving my gaze back down, I noticed a streak of red and yellow move about a bit at the top. I squinted slightly, before catching sight of Free and Kristina sit down on one of the bleachers. They were here to watch us play. Nice of them. I focused my view back on Valt, who looked so excited, but so nervous at the same time. His legs were moving and his hand wasn't stable. Taking a deep breath, I decided to try something.

"Oi! Aoi! You better not lose this for us! You're dead if you do!"

Valt swivelled round to see me giving him an overconfident look. He whimpered, before inhaling in then out. Then he shouted, "I wouldn't dream of losing! I'm going to show you I'm worthy of being on this team!" With that said, he spun back around, nearly tripping over, and readied his bey. That seemed to have lit a spark in him, as I could faintly see a blue outline surrounding him and his bey. "You sure have a way with words. Inspirational, yet harsh." Chuckling at his own words, Zac placed a gloved hand on my shoulder. "He'll do fine. Just you wait and see. That kid's got talent." Nodding along to what the other blonde said, I watched in anticipation at Valt's battle.

"Let it Rip!"

Valtryek and the other kid's bey raced around the stadium, gathering more and more momentum as they went. "And we're off to a good start!" Hinami commentated straight away. I've got to say, I expected more, but maybe this is just the start. I glanced to my right to see Lui analysing Valt's battle techniques. So much for not showing interest, am I right? Giving him a small smile, I looked back to Valt, who was nearly exploding with excitement. "Valtryek! Give it your all! We can do this!" That's when I saw it. The horse, the man, the sword, all in sync. They charged around the bey stadium, catching up to their opponent, before... BANG! "Victory Valtryek wins with a burst finish! Japan gains two points!" Nodding my head, my teammates grinned at our victory. "Way to go little buddy!" Xander picked up Valt and placed him on his shoulders. "Well done Twinkle Toes. I'm impressed." Valt moved his head up and down in a hyper motion, as he clenched his fists. "Good work. Shu. Crush them." Without even looking at the albino, he stood up at my command, and strolled to the stadium, giving off an intimidating aura. "Ooh. Shu Kurenai has been sent in to finish off the job! What an exciting turn of events!" There was a growl after Hinami had finished announcing. "We're not going to lose to some punks who won't even send all of their players in. Don't look down on us, because we're about to beat you! Just you wait!" I heard Lui scoff from next to me, as the player glared at me. I decided to keep a poker face and just watch what Shu would do. "You think to highly of yourself. Now get ready and watch." Though it was barely above a whisper, it was enough for the opponent and the teams to hear. "That's our Shu! YOU CAN DO IT MATE! DESTROY HIM!" Xander yelled, making half the audience cover their ears.

"Ready?"

"Let it Rip!"

"Storm Spryzen and his opponent are gliding 'round the ring like nobody's business, but can they keep it up? Ooh I'm getting fired up just looking at this!" Spryzen shot around the ring faster and faster, until he was in the same line as the other's bey. It was catching up at a breakneck pace, and it was only a matter of seconds before the big blow. "Spryzen. Now." Once the words were spoken, the red bey zipped around once more and rammed into it's opponent, crushing it completely. "And Storm Spryzen with a burst finish! Japan are into the finals!" Cheers echoed the hall as Xander, Zan and Valt started cheering and jumping around in circles. Lui gave a small tsk as he walked off into the hallway. Shu started coming back. "Shu you were amazing! You amaze me every time!" Valt screamed, running up to Shu enthusiastically. "Awww Yeah! We did it! To the finals we go!" As they were all cheering, I gave Shu a pat on the back, before following Lui's example and leaving.

'Finals huh? We'll be sure to win."
