What color is this, little man? Rixon cooed in Adonis's thoughts, pointing to the queen of hearts card. Adonis huffed.
He was fully little but he knew this was just Rixon screwing with him to keep him in little space.
Adonis wore a pout, arms crossed, trying to ignore the glances the others at their card table gave. Poor humans, they were gonna lose everything and Adonis knew it.
At least, everything in the sense of what piled up on the table for the game.
So far it was a flask, very pricey looking men's ring with a sapphire in the center with rubies at the top, bottom, and both sides, there was a locket with a picture of one of the men's past lovers, keys to a large home, watch with dragons on it, a small case of emeralds and opals, and money, of course.
Usually, Adonis enjoyed this game with Patch and Rixon but it was less fun when you were up on your best friend's lap, dressed like a baby with a pout clearly behind a pacifier.
Regardless, Adonis leaned into Rixon, focusing on the card, eventually answering, this time not even bothering to hide the childish tone.
Wed.
Oh, so close. Seems dada needs to help you on your pronunciations, hmm, little fallen? What shape is on it?
Adonis huffed again but shifted to hide his face in the crook of Rixon's neck. Rixon physically pat his back gently a few seconds before reaching past Adonis to scratch his stubbles on his chin.
Now, don't tell me you're still disobeying the rules, little man.
Adonis whined unintentionally out of irritation but then group merely chuckled thinking it was part of the act.
Rixon spared the truth, simply saying to them that Adonis had lost a bet to him, but secretly in their thoughts assured him that next time, he may not be so kind.
Apparently holding true to the promise of further punishment, Rixon spoke. Outloud.
"Goodness, babe's so whiny, is it almost your nap time, baby?"
This earned more chuckles and snickers from the group of humans.
Adonis peeked out and glared coldly at Rixon, but the pacifier shattered any attempt of it looking tough. Rixon proved it to him by gently pinching one of his cheeks
"Aww, yes, dada's got a fussy baby boy," he cooed. More snickers came from their surroundings.
Heawts!
Adonis boomed in their mind, but Rixon apparently planned to be as annoying as possible.
Who are you telling the answer to, little fallen?
......Heawts dada.
Very, very excellent little boy.
The humans seemed to have a short attention span as they soon were grumbling all their cards, one after the other muttering that the fold. Rixon smirked and set his cards down and swears erupted from the humans. Adonis knew he didn't have a reason to be scared, he was multiple times stronger than the humans but their tones were simply something little space didn't like, so, in response to the vile words, he nestled back into the side of his dada's neck.
Rixon chuckled at both Adonis and the humans but pulled his winnings towards himself. He drew the watch from the pile, poking Adonis's side.
It at least succeeded in grabbing his attention as Adonis poutily peeked his eyes back out. Rixon merely offered a smirk and held the watch up so Adonis could see it.
"Here love, why don't you play with this? Its shiny and has dragons on it. You like dragons."
As Adonis obediently took the watch and sure enough fiddled with it, making it gleam in the dulled lights when he could as the previous owner grumbled that it wasn't a toy, Rixon's Irish voice rang in Adonis's thoughts again.
Is that why you're fussy, little man, do you miss your toys?
Adonis pouted deeper but let the watch absorbed most of his attention as he debated on answering, eventually, sulkily going with.
A wittle.
Rixon hummed softly, holding the house keys up as if looking them over. The last owner glared coldly at him. At least it was a spare home he visited a few times a year. He couldn't had explained losing their real house to his wife and daughter.
Perhaps dada can set up a little baby station in the home?
"So where is this place?"
Adonis blinked and glanced up to Rixon, a but put off by hearing his voice twice, both in different manners. Physical and in his thoughts.
It made his little space a bit dizzy just thinking about it, so he focused back on the watch to ignore it. He wasn't interested in the adult's talk anyways, he was only a toddler.
The last owner glared a few moments but sighed, as said it wasn't his main home but it didn't make him any happier to lose it.
"A bit out in Slaughterville, a wooded area away from the town. Couple feet in," as he described it, he pulled a cigarette out and lit it, taking a drag only to puff it out moments after.
Rixon hummed and nodded.
I wasn't kidding about the nursery. We'll get you some things. Get you out of that trashy appartment, seeing how you can't keep it clean.
It startled Adonis to hear Rixon's voice again so he glared at him, Rixon merely tapped his nose gently.
In agitation, Adonis looked back down to the watch. As much as he didn't want to enjoy it, the thought of having a nursery all his own was rather nice.
