"Uh oh, someone lost their paci," Rixon hummed mockingly, picking it up and tried to gently slide it back into Adonis's mouth.
With a small whimper and cry, Adonis did accept it, sucking rapidly on it to soothe himself.
Rixon snorted but returned to the card game. Adonis gave a tired, agitated little huff. Now he didn't even have the watch to occupy his time and attention, this was proving, now, to be rather boring. Adonis was half tempted to try puppy eyes but he knew it'd take so much more to sway Rixon.
In other words, he was out of luck.
To show his annoyance he attempted to stick his tongue out at him but the pacifier fell from his mouth. Rixon chuckled at the attempt but slid it back into Adonis's mouth and, being satisfied in the reaction he earned from taking the watch away, finally returned it gently.
At first, Adonis tried to be a little brat, turning his head away to not take it.
Oh well, guess I have to throw the shiny watch away.
This made Adonis sit up with a whine, reaching for the item. Rixon smirked in amusement but handed it to him.
That's what I thought, little fallen.
Adonis grunted but focused on the watch again. Rixon wasn't quite done yet though.
Is there something you want to say to dada, little man?
Adonis looked up and pouted a bit, he would've stuck his tongue out again but he didn't want to lose his pacifier again. Something told him third time wasn't a charm. That he wouldn't get his pacifier back so easily if he lost it again.
I'm waiting.
Adonis gave a little grunt but hugged the watch close to his chest in case Rixon tried to take it a second time. Rixon merely arched a brow.
One....... two........ thr-
T'ank you dada.
Rixon smirked in triumph.
You're welcome, lil lad.
Neither really noticed the door opening and someone entering. This was a business, that happened quite frequently. They did notice when a seat was pulled up next to them though.
"Patch!" Rixon said with a wider smirk as Adonis hid into the crook of his neck.
"Hey.... what's all this?" the third fallen angel asked with an arched brow.
Rixon glanced down to Adonis with a smirk.
Should I tell him, little man?
Nooooooo!!
To accompany the thought, Adonis shook his head which either appeared like another silent tantrum or like he was nuzzling closer to an outsider. Rixon hummed softly but spared Adonis for now, going with the lie he had told everyone else.
"Adonis here got too big for his britches and lost a bet."
The look Rixon had that gave away it wasn't the truth. Patch looked down to Adonis.
"Really?"
What's the truth?
Patch asked, not breaking eye contact with Rixon who simply shook his head.
I'll tell you when Adonis is ready.
Patch nodded and he leaned forward since his chair was backwards.
Don't tell him, dada, pease.
Rixon looked down seeing Adonis peeking out with what could only be called puppy dog eyes. Rixon smirked softly but rubbed his back in reassurance.
I won't till you're ready, little man. Don't worry.
This made Adonis relax in relief.
Why don't you get a nap in, hmm?
Nooooo, no nap!
You're clearly sleepy. Get a nap, little fallen.
Adonis whined softly in protest. Rixon simply responded by bouncing him.
You need a nap before you get fussy.
Adonis pouted more but was surprised to hearing Rixon humming quietly to him. Adonis looked up to him a few seconds before smiling a bit shyly behind the pacifier. He let himself relax and he shut his eyes obediently. He drifted off rather easily afterwards. Rixon smirked proudly and leaned back contently, hugging Adonis closer.
Patch watched his two friends trying to understand the situation without words.
He didn't want to pry, but he was curious never having expected to see this at all.
It's rude to stare.
Rixon scolded Patch though his gaze remained on his cards. Patch directed his gaze up to Rixon's concentrated face.
I'm just trying to understand all of this.
It's nothing for you to worry about for now. Just go with it.
Patch wordlessly nodded.
