Now things were getting weird. I was still in a daze from earlier, so this seemed like a dream. I wasn't exactly scared, just confused. As if she read my mind, the woman explained. "You two both broke the machine by forcing it to quit. The implants in your brains are now useless. They have broken. Surrender now, or we charge."

Now I was pumped up. I was still a little dizzy, but I could fight. The only problem was Kael.

He wouldn't do a thing. He even tried walking over them to surrender, but I stopped him. What is with his nerve? He was handing his life over to them. Just like that!

I didn't budge at all in letting Kael go. Laticia was starting to look impatient. This was it. Either I turned my brother and myself in, or face a whole army for freedom. This was it. Before I even finished my thought, Laticia yelled "ATTACK!"

The whole army was coming straight at us. I quickly ran ahead, and started fighting. It seemed easy, cause all I did was punch one guy, and he fell over, unconscious. It was like I had a superpower.

I honestly didn't care about that, because, then again, who thinks about their strengths in a fight? Certainly not me. I just kept taking them out. Kael, on the other hand, was surrendering himself. The guards were dragging him away, like a rag doll. He was obviously drugged. Note to self: be careful not to get drugged. I gave up what I was doing, and ran to Kael. He was my twin, of course. I punched the people carrying him, but before they went down, one shot me in the leg.

An extreme pain went through my leg, and fell to the ground. Then I blacked out.
