Lost in the Past

Chapter 3

As I started reading the first page my eyes swelled because I never realized how much I needed to get this out. I let Ms. Ashley read it to herself quietly as well. I looked at the first sentence and how it danced across the page so perfectly and how the ink layered itself onto the page in perfect unison to the other words. I read the page again looking at every word in great detail like it was an ancient scroll that held all the mysteries of the universe.

'At a young age I felt like my life was handed to me on a platter, but then things changed. This is the story of my life.
When I was young I was given up for adoption, by my birth mom. Though it was for the best I yearn to meet her and find the truth behind the matter. At the time she gave birth she was eighteen. Who knew this perfect little baby would have to mature faster than most children that the child knew. The child was adopted in Guatemala by a wonderful and loving family, but still he missed his mom, his blood. But love runs deeper in yours veins than blood right? The child stayed in foster care for awhile as he awaited to be brought to his newfound home with his new family. At the age of three months old the child, this perfect little girl would finally be brought home. In the arms of his new family awaiting to board the plane and fly to their new home in Massachusetts .
As they boarded the plane the little girl was silent and did not cry at all during the flight surrounded by other families just like their own with babies who cried for many unknown reasons, perhaps because of the ozone layer and the pressure because of how the gravitational force differentiates. But in my mind I truly believe it is because at that moment they realized they wouldn't see their biological family until it they were of age or they were ready.'
