It it hit me all like a wave, trying to process the present and the past. The ink on the page grew heavy as I held. I only wanted her to read one page. So I could be free from this cage that holds me and restricts me from all. I miss the feeling of safety and not having flashbacks constantly. I miss them but I shouldn't. I ponder if it's my fault.
Ms Ashley cleared her throat," if you want to take a break I understand you look overwhelmed. It took a lot of guts to trust me to even read that."
I looked up and nodded my head, "If that's okay. I need to say something after."
