TEACHING SOMEONE TO ride a blurrg proved to be a difficult task. When Sevara learnt, she was already used to riding other creatures like tauntauns, and applied the same principles to the blurrgs. Judging by his inability to even stay balanced, Sevara guessed the man had never rode anything before.

"No, all you need to do it let the blurrg come to you," she said, her arms crossed as she analysed his strategy.

The man grunted in response, but to his luck, the blurrg sidled away once more. Kuiil interjected, "Perhaps if you removed yourself helmet."

"Perhaps he remembers I tried to roast him," the man responded.

"This is a female," informed Kuiil. "The males are all eaten during mating."

Sevara grimaced, recalling a particularly gruesome spectacle she witnessed in the last mating season. As the man hauled himself atop the blurrg, who thrashed in protest, Sevara called, "You need to get her to trust you!"

"I'm trying!" He said, yelling as he was thrown once more.

Sevara pinched the bridge of her nose. Teaching him was going to be a lot harder than she anticipated. Kuiil stood beside her, his arms crossed as the man sighed, approaching them with a shake of his head. "I don't have time for this. Do you have a Landspeeder or a Speeder Bike that I could hire?"

"You are a Mandalorian!" Kuiil exclaimed. The man bowed his head, looking to the blurrg as Kuiil continued, "Your ancestors rode the great Mythosaur. Surely you can ride this young foal."

The blurrg growled and Kuiil gazed at the man with narrowed eyes. Obliging, he approached the blurrg once more, this time at a calmer and slower pace. Sevara had to admit, she was impressed with Kuiil's knowledge of where the man came from. He seemed to be able to get through to the man just by looking at his armour.

"Easy, easy," the man spoke softly, raising his hands as he approached the restless creature. "Now, all right. Settle down. Whoa, whoa," he jumped back at the blurrg made a move to charge.

"Settle. Settle. That's good," said the man, inching closer and splaying his hand out, pressing it to the creatures forehead, "Easy, okay? That's good... all right."

He braced his hands across the blurrg's back, swinging himself across it with a grunt. To Sevara's surprise, the creature no longer opposed to his advances and seemed to trust the man enough to allow him to ride it.

Kuiil turned to her, pointing to the pen that held the other two blurrgs. "Saddle up. It's time to go."

THEY RODE ACROSS the rocks, kicking up dust with each step, leaping over cracks and pits that plagued the uneven terrain. Sevara guided her blurrg far from the edge of the cliffside, choosing to ride alongside the man, with Kuiil leading the way. After a half hour or so, Sevara pulled up beside the man, asking, "So, what exactly are you looking for?"

"I'm not sure," he admitted, "I've got the bare minimum of details."

"Care to share?"

"Why? Are you gonna' take the bounty for yourself?"

Sevara smiled, raising her hands in surrender, "Oh no, you caught me."

The man shook his head, his gaze falling to the rocks. A moment passed before he asked, "Why are you both helping me?"

"It's not like we've got anything better to do," said Sevara, "it's kind of an adventure if you think about it."

"Ah," he said, "so you're doing this out of boredom?"

"I didn't say that. Besides, we need someone like you to knock some sense into a few people around here."

"Someone like me?"

"You know, someone who knows how to fight. Though, judging by your earlier predicament, let's hope you don't have to face a blurrg or two," she said, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear in hopes to stop it from flying about in the wind.

He nodded, "That's fair."

Kuiil turned to them, coming to a halt atop a shallow slope, telling the man, "That is where you'll find your quarry."

Reaching into his belt, the man retrieved a small pouch and extended his arm out to Kuiil, who waved him off, shaking his head. The man persisted, saying, "Please. You deserve this."

"Since these ones arrived," said Kuiil, "this territory has been an endless stream of mercenaries seeking reward and bringing destruction."

"Then why did you guide me?"

"They do not belong here," he stated. "Those that live here come to seek peace. There will be no peace until they're gone."

"Then why do you help?"

"I have never met a Mandalorian," said Kuiil, "I've only read the stories. If they are true, you will make quick work of it. Then, there will again be peace." He readied his blurrg for riding once more, bidding the man farewell, saying, "I have spoken."

As Kuiil started back to the farm, Sevara turned to the man and said, "Maybe we'll meet again someday, but for now I can only wish you good luck."

"Thank you, I mean it. For saving me earlier and for teaching me how to ride a blurrg, then leading me all the way out here. I appreciate it."

"You're welcome," she said, gearing up to leave, "I hope you find what you're looking for."

With a nod farewell, Sevara beckoned her blurrg that it was time to go and made the trek back to her home. She dared to glance back, watching as the man ascended towards the location of his bounty, silently wishing that someday would come sooner rather later, if at all.
