‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾RAIN POURED DOWN on them as Kuiil lead them through the night, guiding Mando to the Jawas. Sat atop a the cart attached to Kuiil's blurrg, Sevara had settled herself beside Mando with the child in her arms, who's eyes were wide and had a smile that stretched across it's little face as it looked about the rainstorm.
As they travelled throughout twilight, Sevara's eyes grew heavier with each passing second, eventually waking to a burst of sunlight as dawn settled upon them. She rubbed her eyes, a deep flush coating her cheeks as she realised she had been leaning against Mando's shoulder as a pillow. He looked at her as she woke, and all Sevara could do was scramble together an apology.
"I'm so sorry," she said, cheeks burning with a hot red. "I didn't mean to fall asleep— wait, where's the child?"
No longer in her arms, Sevara looked around wildly for the small creature. Mando pressed a gentle touch to her forearm, saying as she turned to him, "Relax, the kid's right here."
Relief washed over her as she twisted around, watching the child peek over the edge of the cart, enamoured by the view as they passed the rocks and barren land. Sevara nodded, letting go of a breath she hadn't known she'd been holding, "Alright, as long as it's safe."
The child's elongated ears perked up at the sound of her voice, turning to her with a smile.
Not long after, the Jawa's fortress came into view. Littered by the base were a multitude of short, identical figures, all spinning in their heel to face the four of them as they approached. Red beady eyes stared at them and murmurs of their language began circulating as Kuiil steadied his blurrg beside the fortress.
"Greetings!" Kuiil called, utilising his knowledge of Jawaese. As the Jawas began to herd and cause a commotion, Kuiil turned to Mando, saying, "They really don't like you for some reason."
Sevara raised a brow at him, "What did you do?"
"Well," said Mando, "I did disintegrate a few of them."
Pairs of red eyes flashed from the windows of the fortress as all the Jawas clamoured together. A Jawa approached them, waving a gun in the air and calling something out to Kuiil, who then translated to Mando, "You need to drop your rifle."
"I'm a Mandalorian. Weapons are part of my religion."
"Then you are not getting your parts back," informed Kuiil.
"Fine," he grumbled, placing his rifle down beside him and climbing out of the cart as Kuiil slid from the blurrg. Mando offered Sevara a hand, assisting her down the small jump from the cart to the rocks.
The Jawa waved the gun once more, to which Kuiil pointed at Mando, "And your blaster."
He seemed to hold back a sigh as he unstrapped his weapon and tossed it into the cart as Kuiil stepped away and began conversing with the Jawas. A moment passed before Kuiil waved the two of them over, watching as they approached and sat down beside him, leaving the child in the cart.
The Jawa began speaking, it's words coming out fast-paced, with Kuiil translating, "They will trade all the parts for the beskar."
"I'm not gonna' trade anything," said Mando. "These are my parts. They stole them from me." The Jawa's carried on, to which Mando replied in a broken way, "They, they... belong... to me!"
The Jawas erupted in a chorus of laughter, calming down enough to tell Mando, "You speak terrible Jawa. You sound like a Wookiee."
Mando had had enough, "You understand this?" He seethed as a wave of flames shot from his wrist.
"No!" Cried Kuiil, who threw himself across Sevara to disable Mando's weapon. She grunted at the sudden impact, being knocked backwards into the rocks, overhearing Kuiil tell Mando, "Whoa, whoa. Easy. Oh— sorry, Sevara." Kuiil helped her back into an upright position, telling the Jawas, "He is Mandalorian. He cannot give you his beskar armour. What else may he trade?"
The Jawa nodded, seeming to weigh its options. It's eyes brightened as it chattered on in Jawaese, pointing to their cart behind them. As Sevara turned to see what the Jawa was so interested in, she swore she felt her heart stop.
"Get away from it!" Mando yelled, watching as the two Jawas that stood beside the cart scurried away.
Sevara turned to the creatures with narrowed eyes, "Do not even think about it. You're not getting this child. There must be something else."
The Jawa simply stared at her, then turned to it's people as they huddled together and conversed about the trade. Sevara glanced at Mando, who's arm was propped up on his knee, lounging beside her. As he met her gaze, she turned and refocused her attention on the Jawas, watching as they approached, saying, "We will require the Egg. Bring us the Egg."
In sync with Kuiil, Sevara pressed her face into her palms. The Egg, of course they would want something as absurd as that. Mando seemed puzzled about their reactions and the task overall, asking, "The Egg? What Egg?"
Meanwhile, the Jawas chanted, "The Egg! The Egg! The Egg! The Egg!"
Sevara sighed, turning to Mando. "This isn't gonna' be easy."

CROUCHED INSIDE THE fortress, Sevara sat beside Mando, with the child seated in it's pod between them, surrounded by the cloaked figures of the Jawas. The fortress jostled, going over a bump causing Sevara and Mando to bump their heads against the sturdy metal of the roof, due to the significant height difference between them and the short creatures. She brought a hand to her temple, easing away the pain as the Jawas guided them to the location of the Egg.
The fortress came to a stop, and the four of them were taken to the boarding ramp, watching as it lowered to reveal a sandy path that presumably lead to the Egg. As Sevara bid goodbye to Kuiil who had opted to stay on board, Mando turned to her, saying, "You know you're not coming, right?"
"Yes I am," she said, holding out her hand expectantly. "Give me your blaster, please."
"It'll be dangerous, we don't know what's out there or who this Egg belongs to."
"Trust me, I've dealt with worse."
Mando shook his head, beginning to descend the ramp and being closely followed by the child's pod. "You're not coming. End of story."
"Really?" Sevara said, jogging to catch up to him, now on the smooth, sandy ground, "Cause' I heard there was a sequel in the works— 'Sevara takes the bounty'."
He turned to her, his head tilted as he asked, "You're not going to give up, are you?"
"No, I don't think so."
"Fine," he said, fishing out hit blaster from his holster and handing it to her, "here. Now, just try not to get into too much trouble, alright?"
"Trouble? Me?" Sevara hummed, "Never."
