i remember that night like it was yesterday. the night i heard the door unlock with the jingle of lost keys. i ran up the steps and peered from the attic nervously as you softly peered into every room. you spent hours there that night, in my mess of a home. you swept the floors and restored every broken tile, you wiped the walls and replaced every shattered mirror, you dusted the tables and healed every wounded piece of furnishing. and with every room you stepped foot into, my trust for you grew. it wept from my eyes and dripped down my cheeks, yearning to touch you. you healed a home that had been long broken that night. and it was in the moment that i revealed myself to you, where two eyes met and my heart stopped in my chest, that i knew this love wouldn't dare fade.
