After the battle to get the twins set for school and into their school bus and the long talk with mom concerning having 'sleepovers during weekdays', I felt relief, I had my first class by 9 am and the time was... 8:38, meaning I had less than 30 minutes to take my bath, dress up and arrive in school.
I half ran into the shower and turned on the tap,letting the cold water work its magic. After my shower, I dried myself and got dressed up in my regular day to day look- a turtle neck shirt, a pair of denims and my black converse hi-tops.
"Mom, I'm leaving for school," I said as I came down to the living room, hanging my bag over my shoulder.
"Would you want me to drop you off, I'm heading that direction this morning?" My dad asked as he sipped his coffee,
"Sure dad," I said as I plopped myself on the couch, not that I had a choice in the first place.

I arrived school after the most boring 10 minutes ride to school of my life, I looked at the time and it was 9:05am, not bad I just had to get seats for Naomi and I considering the fact Nancy was always skipping school, for unacceptable reasons.
As I walked into Mr. Alex's class, I could sense the lack of tension in the air meaning this wasn't gonna be a bad lecture, on getting to my usual spot in class I noticed Naomi was already sitting which was a miracle cos I was always in school before her,
"Naomi, did your mom kick you out?" I asked as I sat beside her,
"No? Why did you ask ?" She asked with a confused look on her face,
"You're never this early..." I said as she nudged my stomach with her elbow
"Are you trying to say, I can never be this punctual?" She asked pouting her small pink lips,
"You concluded that on your own, I on the other hand, never said that" I said raising my hands up in defense, as she was about to reply Mr Alex cleared his throat meaning class was about to commence,
I didn't pay attention to him as I was set on finishing my book I was reading last night, I took out my phone and launched the Wattpad app and selected my library, still no updates.
"Adri, while you're at that, could you search out good books for me" Naomi pleaded as she took a glance at me,
"Sure thing, besides I need new books in my library" I said as I began book hunting, one of my favorite tasks,
Gosh. I saw a lot of cringy book titles which I shared a laugh about with Naomi,she even pressured me to add some to my library, I kept searching until I stumbled upon a book;

"Naomi, here's one this seems interesting though" I said to Naomi who was busy writing notes as the class was going on,
"My Wattpad love? Sounds too cheesy... Is it complete?" She asked without glancing away from her notebook,
"Yeah, its complete, I'll read this, it seems like it'll be an interesting book" I said as I added it to my library,
"Sure, whatever just find me some good Mafia books, make sure they're completed please," Naomi said as I nodded
"Sure, whatever" I said as I dropped my phone in my bag, "I'll start this book as soon as this class is over" I added as I took out my notebook and started taking notes.
Never did I know what fate had in store for me that day, that simple book was gonna do a lot and I had no clue.
