I'm laying on the couch in this cabin. Everyone is outside. I'm staring at my phone, deciding whether I should listen to the voicemail Nik left me. I haven't seen him since last night.
"Ava, I... I just wanted to let you know that Davina is going to help me break the spell that Finn placed on the compound... though she doesn't know it yet. Marcel is keeping Kol alive until we learn Rebekah's whereabouts. And Marcel... he got bit by one of the wolves..."
I immediately sat up from the couch.
"But don't worry. I'll give him my blood." Nik says and I instantly become relax. "That's all I needed to tell you."
There was a long moment of silence.
"Call me. I love you, Ava."
There was another moment of silence before the voicemail ended. I sat there on the couch when Hayley walks in and sees me.
"Is everything okay?" She asks as she walks over to me and sits next to me.
"Yeah... I think so." I said and then I looked at her for a moment without saying anything. "Why does everyone seem to be okay with Ileana becoming a vampire?"
Hayley looks at me curiously before asking, "Why aren't you?" "It's... it's just... I just don't want to. Klaus seems to be okay with it and it's pretty damn surprising."
"Why is he?" Hayley asks and I looked at her, not knowing what to say because it's a slip up about Hope.

"He's usually opposed to things like this and for him to be totally okay with it on the spot is surprising... even for him."
"Why are you oppose to it?" Hayley asks with a raised eyebrow.
"I am not opposed to this marriage." I said and she gives me a look okay. "Okay, I am but if Ileana wants to marry Jackson she can. I can't stop her and I certainly cannot have another one of my outbursts."
"Oh, yeah. You were pissed. I've never seen you like that. Not even with me." Hayley says with a smirk as she tries to annoy me.
"Shut up and don't bring that up again." I said and she smiles. "I made my amends and that's why I have to be okay with this marriage. I'm just not okay with the whole vampire part."
"Why not? I would have assumed you of all people would be on board on this. You always said having people you care about being immortals means never losing them... never going through the pain of death."
