twenty seven

THE halls and rooms of the museum were almost silent. the only sound that could be heard was the tick-tacking of the visitors' shoes on the marble floor. sometimes, a indiscernible whisper would break the silence.

jiwoo was doing her best to keep herself occupied, staring at every object in the displays trying to find it interesting, but he was failing miserably. museums weren't really her thing.

the first hour had been okay for her, paintings weren't that fascinating but most were pretty and jiwoo had mostly spent her time looking at renjun. he was running from room to room, gasping excitedly when he recognized a certain masterpiece. he looked like she was having the time of his life. jiwoo wasn't sure what was so fun about a bunch of paint strokes on a canvas but she enjoyed seeing him this excited.

"i would totally bang him." jiwoo remarks which makes renjun burst out in a fit of laughter. "you're into eighteenth century greek men?" he says laughing harder.

renjun doesn't know how he unintentionally ended up interlocking his hands with jiwoo's, he blames the cold weather though. he thinks she's fun, from all the remarks she has made he gets how donghyuck is friends with her.

at the end of the day, they sat outside, renjun was still going on about all that they had seen inside the museum, when suddenly he turned to jiwoo.

"what was your favorite part...thing...exhibit?" renjun said, kind of stumbling over the words, but looking at jiwoo intently. jiwoo blushed. she hadn't been paying attention, not when it was boring to her and renjun was there, far more interesting than any exhibit the museum had to offer.

"you." jiwoo said quietly after a moment. now it was renjun's turn to blush, his heart suddenly racing and butterflies forming in the stomach.

"oh. um i had a great time." renjun replied softly, "i have never been to one before, so it was one hell of an experience."
