This chapter might not make much sense if you haven't seen Guardians of the Galaxy 2
"What's wrong?" Frankie questioned after jogging into the room. Her question caused the rest of the avengers in the room to turn around as Tony spoke up.
"These golden people want their batteries?" Tony scrunched his eyebrows in confusion. "I tried to give them these but they just laughed, " Tony added while holding up a package of AA batteries.
"Oh shit, " Frankie mumbled while running outside to reason with the high priestess. She was soon met by thousands of golden-skinned warriors pointing blasters in her direction as the high priestess walked forward gracefully.
"You may notice that you are outnumbered, " She spoke calmly.
"Naw really, " Frankie mumbled to herself earning a glare from the queen.
"Hand over the batteries and we won't kill you, " she answered sharply but she continued to keep herself composed.
Frankie shifted her weight from one foot to the other as she crossed her arms. "I would if I had them. We used them to kill Ego, " she retorted.
"Then why is it showing an ultra-high energy source coming from that building?" the priestess replied thickly.
"Don't ask me, I don't know what their hiding in there, " Frankie put her hands up in defense.
"Kill her, " the high priestess commanded flatly before slowly turning around to walk to the golden ship they had arrived in. As if on que, the Avengers came crashing into sight. Some landing from the sky others bursting out of the doors of the Avengers compound.
The team lined up getting into position to fight the golden-skinned aliens, there faces completely serious as they pointed their weapons wondering who would make the first move. Until Steve nodded at Tony signaling for the team to go. The superheroes sprinted forward rapidly taking out the golden people.
Frankie began teleporting to each alien one by one knocking them out as the went along. "About time?" She joked towards the kid in the red spandex after punching an enemy in the face.
"We thought you could handle them, " Peter said after webbing an alien in the face then kicking another. "But obviously not, " he snickered after landing a crazy backflip.
"Showoff, " She laughed before teleporting away secretly impressed by Peter.
Soon almost all of the golden people were gone and Frankie was finishing off 2 of them when she heard frantic yelling "Frankie!- Frankie watch out!"
Confused, she looked up from the man she was hitting. Soon, a wave of blinding yellow light took over her vision.
Until it all went dark.
