Remy always heard about the fellow students in her school that would party and do all the things her parents warned her against.

She compared herself to them, thinking, "Well, I'm not as bad as them..."

Remy didn't realize that she herself was a sinner. She didn't realize that she was living for herself rather than for God or others.

When she turned 17, she thought she was ready for another boyfriend. Maybe he could satisfy the longing inside of her.

For the longest time they were happy together. Remy loved him, and she thought that he loved her, too. She thought that she was finally happy, all the while keeping her struggles hidden.
