Chapter Thirteen - The Shadow Queen Returns To The Host Club

Three days later

(Kyoya P.O.V)

Today Rose was being released from the hospital and she can finally see the condo, I showed her some pictures but she wanted to see it for herself. She was getting tired of being in the hospital, she was happy to leave and tomorrow is Monday so she'll be returning to school tomorrow and she's a bit nervous but the chairman said she didn't have to wear the uniform which she was happy to know. I parked the car near the entrance and waited for Rose to wheeled out of the hospital, the car was a Toyota Prius so it wasn't a big car nor too small.

Rose finally came outside and I saw Yuuichi was wheeling her out, he gave some instructions for her to make sure her health wasn't an issue at school. "Thank you brother, I'll make sure she's alright and if anything changes in her health I'll call you." I tell him and he nods, he pats my shoulder and walks back into the hospital and I helped Rose get into the car, and she was shocked that I was driving, and driving a commoner car at that. "Since when did you start driving?" She asked and I looked at her, I buckled my seatbelt as she did as well.

"I started driving a month after you disappeared, it was also around that time I got the condo so I've become rather independent of my family this last year." I explain and she smiles, knowing that I've grown since she last saw me made her smile. "Let's stop and get you a haircut, not that I don't love your hair but I think it needs work." I ask her and she agrees, she said she'll do it as long as I'm near her, which makes sense since she might get PTSD from being around sharp objects.

We arrived at a local hair salon and I made an appointment for her earlier so she didn't wait long, one of the stylists came over and examined her hair. "What happened to her hair, it looks dead and lifeless." She says and I gave a brief summary of what happened and she saddened, but she reassured me that fixing it will be easy. "Also may I be near Rose during the whole thing?" I asked her and she nodded, since the salon wasn't busy she allowed me to be near her.

Hours passed and Rose was finished with her appointment, her hair was up to her mid back and the curls were still there, and I could tell Rose was happy as while I was out for about a half hour she convinced the stylist to dye half her hair a reddish pink color which looked lovely. "Alright she's done. I hope you'll feel better Rose and come back whenever you need your haircut or dyed and bring your husband with you." She stated and Rose nodded, we paid for the appointment and we left heading home.

I parked the car in the parking lot, and we both got out and I locked the car and headed to the building. She held my hand and I knew she was scared, but I tightened the grip and that signalled that it was alright, I grab my key and unlock the door to reveal our home.

(Your P.O.V)

I looked around the small home, it was somewhat modern but was giving off a homey feeling unlike the main Ootori estate which had a cold atmosphere. "How do you like it dear?" He asked and I pressed my lips to his, surprising him but he did kiss back. "It's lovely dear, but my question is, how were you able to afford this place?" I asked him and he pulled me to his desk and he sat down, pulling me to his lap and he used one arm to hold my waist and another to pull up financial records for the past year. "Using both your inheritance and money from the Host Club's funds I got the condo and bought the car, I also invested some money into a small part of the company that my Father gave me which was the Medical Equipment Company so that brings in some money but mostly to him." He explains to me and I was shocked, I had forgotten about my inheritance but I was glad that he had something.

He then works on club finances and I see a stack of work on the desk, I try to get up but he didn't let me go but he held his grip on my waist tightly. "I was going to look at the stack of papers that was on your desk." I tell him and he explains that it's the work I missed, and he said we'll begin working on it tomorrow at club. "I did not miss school work, that's for sure." I say and he chuckles slightly at my joke, I saw the clock and it was around dinner time so I head to the kitchen and look for something to make for dinner. "I'll begin making dinner in a few minutes, so be patient love." He states and I was shocked, did he say he was making dinner. Well it wasn't that much of a shock since he did say he was becoming more independent the last year, and like he said he began making dinner and so I went to the bookshelf and found the book I was reading before everything happened and my bookmark was still there.
