I pushed away Safety and it didn't want me anymore.
I gave away Joy and it belonged to someone else.
I laughed in the face of Love and it laughed back.

I got what I gave.

I abandoned Hope and it found someone worthy.
I hurt Peace and it walked away.
I broke Friendship's heart and it moved on.

I embraced Sadness.
I chose Loneliness.
I seized Anger.

I got everything I wanted, didn't I?
