Powerful yet powerless (scarlet America)

Chapter 6

Wanda and Freya were have a full on slumber party. They had blown up balloons and set up a blanket fort. Wanda had even snuck into the attic and taken Christmas lights. "Yay! Just like the old days". Freya said happily. "Better". Wanda said. "The avengers will let us have ice cream"! 

Freya and Wanda's parents had never let them have Ice cream at there sleepovers. So Wanda and Freya could never had ice cream because Pietro snitched on them every time they went to sneak it. 

Freya's voice snapped her out of her thoughts. "Building blanket forts is so much easier now that  we have powers. With your powers we never have to even touch the blankets". Freya said. Wanda nodded without even listening to Freya. "Uh huh. I have to go to the bathroom". She said. "Ÿòû ręåłïžę thàt ÿòû have a private bathroom". Freya said speaking half of it in there secret language. "Ÿóû ręmęmbèrēd". Wanda said happily. Freya nodded. 

Wanda still left. You might have figured out by now that Wanda wasn't actually going to the bathroom. Well she wasn't. She saw Natasha pushing Steve to his room. "Hey Wanda a little help"? Natasha asked."What do you need?" Wanda replied, "make it so he can't get out". Natasha told her. "I can do that". Wanda did what Nat asked her then turned back hoping for answers but ended up being disappointed.

"Sorry for the inconvenience". Nat said sweetly waving goodbye by. "Bu-" "run along now go enjoy your sleepover". Natasha said, almost pushing Wanda back to her room. "Bye bye". Wanda went to the bathroom and crept out. She saw Nat pull out her phone and hold it up to her mouth, whispering so softly that even with her new heightened senses Wanda could hardly hear her. "We have a code S, Steve". Natasha turned off her phone so quickly that Wanda hardly got a glimpse of the screen. Director Fury, Wanda almost said aloud.

"I wonder what that means". Wanda asked herself softly. She started putting the pieces together. Steve was obviously up to something. He was acting especially hard on Peter. He obviously scared Peter. Natasha had needed Steve to be stuck in his room. She had needed to call director Fury because Steve was doing at least something wrong. Wanda was certain that while she and Freya were blowing up balloons she had heard Tony and Steve arguing. 

Steve was up to something and it wasn't good. Wanda stopped and thought about her fellow avengers. She stopped when she thought of Captain Marvel. Captain Marvel had helped save the Scrolls. The Scrolls are a race of beings who could change into anything. What if a corrupted Scroll had kidnapped Steve and posed as him. 

Actually that wouldn't work just this afternoon Steve had practiced with Storm breaker and to use that the Scroll would have to be worthy. If the Scroll was corrupted then the Scroll would not be worthy. Wanda wondered if she should tell Freya about this.
