bella's pov!

I WALKED INTO THE CAFETERIA hearing everyone call out my name to come and sit with them. Half of these people I don't even know but it's honestly fun to meet knew people right? Ever since Nini came up to me 2 days ago everyone has been telling me that Nini is just being over dramatic. I could tell why because I'm singing with her ex boyfriend Ricky Bowen, and I actually don't mind. I thought he was going to be some type of guy who talks in a weird type of guy way. But no Ricky actually gets feelings and I'm actually really happy about it.

That's good right? I could talk about something that's bugging me to Ricky? I mean Hayden wouldn't even care since we live in the same household. Like he even said that Ricky likes me, he's totally insane!

I spotted Big Red and I walked over to him but before I even spoke he put his finger in his mouth telling me to shush. He had pointed to the hallway and I peeked out. Nini and Ricky were standing there arguing.

"Ricky! You're the one who wanted to take a pause" Nini exclaimed.

"Yeah a pause, not a break up! You left to theater camp just so you can actually be with that douche bag Ej Caswell? Everyone knows what he did to the actual performer but clearly you don't. But next time I send you a voicemail don't be going around saying that I'm trying to win you back. Cause now it looks like I have eyes on someone else, and she's the sweetest person I've meet" said Ricky.

"Yeah it's Bella Richards huh?" questioned Nini.

"I never mentioned a name so don't just assume it's Bella" Ricky said as he was walking away.

Me and Big Red scooted back and pretended not to hear the argument they just had. "Hey guys!" Ricky said with a big smile on his face.

"Hey! Are you okay? You seem to happy today" I said as I laughed a bit. "Yup I'm totally fine" he said.

Me and Big Red looked at each other and nodded our heads slowly. I bit out of my carrot and looked around the cafeteria. Some people were waving at me and of course I waved back at them.

"Wow Bella people really do know you around here" Ricky jokingly said. "Hook me up with more friends".

"You have us, no need for more friends" I laughed. "Besides me and Big Red are awesome".

Ricky smiled at me and I smiled back at him. I then noticed Big Red give a thumbs up to Ricky and I pretended not to see such a thing.

I looked at my phone and noticed a message from my mom, I slide it open and I couldn't believe what it said:

mom <3: hey bella, your dad just came and he wants to take you away from me so you can go live with him in Canada. I really want you to stay with me here in Utah because I can't handle my daughter leaving me. It's your choice and if you don't want to come home tonight just stay at a friends and think. I love you sweetheart.

I dropped my phone and froze. I couldn't believe that my dad wants me to live with him after all these years. Of course I'm not going to live with him he left us he's crazy. Tears started to form in my eyes and Ricky noticed quickly and I couldn't handle it.

I ran out of the cafeteria and sat down in the empty hallway. I started to cry and I brought my knees up to my chest and let it all out.

"bella..what's wrong?" Ricky said to me as he sat down next to me. He tilted his head and a frown formed on his face.

"My dad wants to take me away and make me live with him in Canada" I told him. "I can't leave Hayden here by himself".

"what..you're leaving?" his voice cracked. "you can't".

"no I'm not leaving he can't make me, he doesn't have custody over us" I told him.

"good, I don't know what the play would be without you Bella..and I don't want you leaving me" he said. My eyes lit up a little bit and I smiled.

"can I stay at your place? I don't wanna go home tonight" I asked him.

"Of course you can, anytime Bella don't worry" he said.

It's a good thing I have shirts ports in my backpack so I don't need to borrow his pants cause they won't fit me either way.

"Thank you Ricky" I said. He nodded his head slowly and I began to cry on his shoulder.

WE GOT TO HIS HOUSE AROUND 7 PM because rehearsal was running behind. Ricky snuck me in since he didn't think his dad would be okay with this. I walked into his room and for some reason I thought I was going to be a lot messier, but it's actually really clean. I placed my backpack down next to his desk and I sat down on his bean bag. He gave me a shirt of his so I can wear to bed.

"what are you doing here?" I heard his dad say from downstairs. Ricky looked very confused and he didn't say anything.

"I came to see my son and if your not happy about it then too bad" the woman said.

"Mom" Ricky mumbled and dashed downstairs.

I walked into the bathroom and changed out of my school clothes. I put on my shorts and Ricky's shirt. It fit me big but I was very comfortable. As soon as I got out of the bathroom his mom was right outside and I dropped my clothes to the ground.

"Ricky is this your girlfriend? Oh my god she's so adorable!" His mom shouted out. I heard footsteps running up the staircase and he smiled at me. His dad looked over at me and noticed what I was wearing and he didn't like it.

"mom this is bella..she's uh..my friend" Ricky said. I took my hand out so she can shake it and she gladly accepted it.

"Ricky why do you have a girl in the house and why is she in your shirt?" his dad literally yelled at him.

"Dad! She's having family problems and she's staying here wether you like it or not" Ricky yelled at his dad. His mom brought me into a hug and I hugged her back. His dad rolled his eyes and walked away from us.

"Are you sure she isn't your girlfriend Ricky, she's such a sweetheart" his mom said. It caused me to laugh and smile at Ricky. I could tell he was embarrassed because his cheeks started to turn red and his smile was big. He pulled me by the arm and walked me into his room.

"I'm really sorry about my dad he isn't doing great since my parents are splitting up. My mom is moving to Chicago so she's been wanting to be with me" he mentioned.

"No it's okay, but I'm really sorry about your parents" I tell him. He nodded his head and his eyes started to get watery.

I stood up and gave him a hug, he hugged me back and once again I felt really safe in his arms and I was really happy. I didn't wanna let go and it seemed like forever when we were hugging.

As soon as we pulled away he looked at me in the eyes and he started to lean in. I looked at him and I was very confused at the moment.

"I'm sorry Ricky I can't" I said before he even tried to kiss me.

"Ah yeah...friends got it" he said as he patted his bed. "Sleep on here I'm sleeping on the ground".

I got in his bed and I felt really bad from what just happened.

"Good night Bella" he said.

"Night Ricky".

this makes me sad awe :(
