A/N: Hellooo my amazing readers! Just wanted to let you know that I changed the mythology up a little bit in this chapter, just so that it works with the flow of my story. If you have any questions, just let me know. Please comment, vote, enjoy, um, yeah all that good stuff. Okie dokie, back to the story.

(Tera's POV)

It was a few days later when the news was bombarding every channel, newspaper and magazine.

Nat was at a hearing at the Senate. S.H.I.E.L.D was gone, she revealed that H.Y.D.R.A. was still around. The entire committee was frazzled to say the least, worried that they no longer had an intelligence apparatus.

"Loki look! Nat's on t.v." I call to him.

"Agent, you should know that there are some on this committee who feel, given your service record, both for this country and against it, that you belong in a penitentiary, not mouthing off on Capitol Hill," a man on the hearing committee tells her.

She pauses, looking at him, questioning his stupidity. "You're not gonna put me in a prison. You're not gonna put any of us in a prison. You know why?"

"Do enlighten us," he mocks her.

"Because you need us. Yes, the world is a vulnerable place, and yes, we helped make it that way. But we're also the ones best qualified to defend it. So if you want to arrest me, arrest me. You'll know where to find me," she stood from her seat and walked out of the room, cameras in her face, flashing.

A few minutes later, my phone goes off. I answer right away.

"Nat! You're alive! And amazing!"

She laughs, "Of course I'm alive. And yes, I am amazing, what else did you expect?"

"Are you coming home soon?"

"Yeah, I'll be there in a bit. I just have to give Steve something."

"So he's okay?"

"Yeah, he's fine. Someone pulled him out of the river so he didn't drown."

Loki heard her. "Shame."

I tried to smack his arm, but he grabbed my hand and kissed it. He ran out of the room, laughing.

"What's that?" Nat asked me.

I blush. "Oh um, it's Loki."

I can hear her smiling through the phone. "That's right. It's just been the two of you lately, hasn't it? I heard you went on a mission together. How was that?"

"I'll tell you later," I mumbled.

"I can't wait to hear about it. Okay, I gotta go, but I'll see you soon."

I hang up with Nat and decide I have to search for Loki, still needing to smack him.

I find him half an hour later in the training room. Well technically, I went to the training room and he pounced on top of me, making me fall on my back. Once again, he was above me.

"Looking for something dove?" he asked with a smirk.

His hair had gotten longer, so when it fell over his shoulders, it covered both our faces.

"Yes, I was looking for something to hit. Preferably you."

His smile widened and I realized I should have said that sentence differently.

"You know what I mean Loki!"

He leaned closer to me, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

"Do I?"
