(Tera's POV)

When we made it back to home base, Tony was saying how he wanted to take a look at the scepter, before Thor takes it back to Asgard. Loki was clearly avoiding the scepter, walking the long way around it.

I take his hand as we enter Tony's lab.

"Isn't this what friends do?" I ask him when he gave me a perplexed expression.

He smiles and holds my hand tighter. "Yes, they do."

We made our way to where a pretty doctor was stitching up Clint.

"There's no possibility of deterioration," she tells Nat. " The nano-molecular functionality is instantaneous. His cells don't know they're bonding with simulacrum."

"She's creating tissue," Bruce says a little excitedly. I see Nat give him a small smile.

"If you brought him to my lab, the regeneration Cradle could do this in twenty minutes."

Tony walked in the room carrying a tray of drinks. " Oh, he's flatlining. Call it. Time?"

I took a drink for myself and handed another one to Loki.

"No, no, no. I'm going to live forever. I'm gonna be made of plastic!" Clint says from the table.

Tony gives Clint a drink. "Here's your beverage."

The ravened haired doctor leans over to look at Clint "You'll be made of you, Mr. Barton. Your own girlfriend won't be able to tell the difference," she tells him with a smile.

Clint takes a sip from his drink, "Well, I don't have a girlfriend."

She turns away from him. " That I can't fix."

Clint takes another sip and gives Nat a look.

" This is the next thing, Tony," the doctor says. "Your clunky metal suits are going to be left in the dust."

Nat reached over and grabbed herself a drink. She took a sip and looked at Tony, waiting to see his response.

"Well, that is exactly the plan. And Helen, I expect to see you at the party on Saturday."
